About the Author

New independent author, TC Matson, loves to let her characters voices be heard. With a head full of stories, she puts her keyboard through a beating daily. Regularly she visits the solidity of her writing cave, whether it be on the couch, at her desk, or wherever the four year old can't reach the laptop. She is an avid reader and is known to devour books within hours. As a romance junkie, Matson sets her sights to try to find stories that are relatable and real. She's not a fan of vampires, fairies, or any other out of this world fiction stories. And understanding that love isn't always instant and full of flowers...her writing mirrors it. Matson resides in the peaceful Piedmont area of North Carolina with her husband and three boys where she stays hopped up on caffeine and chasing children. She has a relatively normal life managing her home, or as she calls it, her loony bin. Chaos is indefinite and a sense of humor is absolutely a must. You can contact her at authortcmatson@gmail.com or visit her on her website www.tcmatson.com for more places to find her at.

This author has blown me away…once again.

Blindsided is a story of hurt and pain. But it is also a story of taking chances and not giving up. It shows that everyone deserves a chance.

Paige has been hurt in the past…and the last thing she wants is to be hurt again. But when Levi…a known player…enters her life, can she finally open up and allow him in?

Levi is arrogant, cocky, infuriatingly dense sometimes but there is a side of him that nobody sees…until he meets Paige. She makes him want to be a better man.

I absolutely loved these two characters. Both of them have issues but together, they show that it only takes one person to change you…one person to make you a better person.

I cannot recommend this book enough!!!

FIVE FIGHTER STARS!

Received an arc for an honest review.

So let me start by saying that from the first chapter I really REALLY HATED LEVI... he was just to arrogant for my liking and so from this point on in the book I just could not connect with him and I could not understand why she fell for him at all.

Now in saying this I really did enjoy the storyline and I liked Paige, she was feisty and well able to take care of herself but I also feel she could have done better than LEVI.

And so I come to the end, I do want to read the next book and I hope LEVI doesn't f*ck up AGAIN.

The relationship was to rocky for me. I'm thinking back wondering what the story was about. I mean Paige is to undecided for me she runs from Levi constantly. I see Levi as a womanizer who is totally flawed but has redeeming qualities. What I don't see is Paige. She is high strung and very difficult. I'm very disappointed that the story revolved around Paige and her insecurities because I was hoping for more.

When I started reading I immediately loved Paige's sassy mouth (gotta remember she's young too when reading) and then enter Levi...swooooon...he's arrogant and cocky on the surface but when you get to know him out comes his sweet and tender side. There's a pull between Paige and Levi and of course it comes down to a battle of wills. This story had me hooked from page one finishing it in one sitting. It had me laughing, teary and wanting to smack someone from time to time. Now, the ending left me waiting more, so much more! Can't wait for book two to continue on this ride with Paige and Levi.

HASH(0x9d1c4fc0) out of 5 stars Just wasn't for me 21 Feb. 2016
By For the Love of Books and Alcohol - Published on Amazon.com

This one just didn't work for me. It happens. Others seemed to really enjoy it, so it just may be me.

I wasn't able to connect with Paige. I found her rude rather than sassy and crude rather than clever. It wasn't so much that she was insecure, we all are in some way. It was that she never once seemed to consider anyone else's feelings. I simply found her to be unkind. BUT like I said, there are plenty of 5 star reviews that felt otherwise.

Levi was ok. I found him common or unremarkable. He was fine. I liked him better than Paige, but he doesn't stand out to me.

Overall, I felt like the characters and plot were one dimensional. The story had great potential but the characters weren't strong enough to carry it for me.

I enjoy the authors writing style and very much enjoyed Matson's first book, but this one fell short for me. She is writing a sequel and I have been told that book two will answer a lot of questions we are left with in book one as well as a huge character adjustment for both Paige and Levi. So I will be reading UnExpected to see how these characters grow and change.

2 stars and several Long Island Ice Teas for Blindsided. Cheers

HASH(0x9d44e8c4) out of 5 stars Fantastic book. 8 Nov. 2015
By Ani B. - Published on Amazon.com

This book broke me and built me up, all in two hours. I can't begin to explain how much I loved this story. I loved the cocky attitude Levi has, I also love that Paige didn't give in as easily. I know there were issues to deal with and everything was perfectly clear in the book. But one thing bothered me and that was the running. The author knows what I'm talking about. I don't know if I would do the same. Probably, but seeing it written down like that...It just seemed like a coward thing to do. Protect yourself at the exspense of someone else. But I love the continuing fight to be together, the love he has for her. He's waiting for her, he's fighting for her and he's simply loving her. I can't complain for reading this book. So, even though this book gutted me in moments, I loved every minute of it. Good job!
