I'm really enjoying knitting the first blanket in this book, and I've had a request for another. The blankets are designed in a range of sizes from 1 sq metre up to double bed (but as they are all based on squares you can easily adapt the designs to any size you like).
The only problem I encountered was that the complete shopping list for the entire blanket had one colour missing. On the plus side, I got to go to the yarn shop again. The photo is of the first third of the blanket.

I love this book - it's easy to adjust the patterns to your own colour scheme and designs. I have made one baby blanket already in a smaller design than shown in the book and it's worked out beautifully. I'm on my second already! The only thing I'd mention to anyone else looking at buying this book is, the patterns expect you to know how to do the stitches shown, so it's not really for beginners who may not know, for example, how to do a cable knit. This is easily rectified just by checking online, where so many people have examples of particular stitches, so it doesn't diminish from the book's overall enjoyability.

Great book with beautiful designs/projects. The instructions are really clear and easy to follow. If you can knit, purl and cable, you can follow all of these designs. The multicoloured panels are a bit tricky and I'm still perfecting my technique. I'm still on my first blanket but have enjoyed it lots. It's rekindled my love of knitting

I've only just started to learn to knit and saw this book at a friends house and was so inspired by the beautiful photos inside that I had to get my own copy. I've started on the sampler throw which is made up of different stitches, the instructions are clear and simple to follow although some of the projects do look as though they are aimed at more advanced knitters. I can honestly say that there wasn't a throw in the book that I didn't like and am looking forward to working through the more difficult ones.

an excellent book of ideas and patterns. Some are quite straightforward while others demand a certain level of knowledge. Although there are pages of extra instruction and information at the back they are not particularly enlightening for a beginner.
