Alas fate keeps throwing them together, once again through a wedding of common friends. Bryce discovers things about Payton which leads him to doubt his feelings for her. But what he cannot deny is his attraction to Honor.
Honor cannot sully the memory of Payton, by falling for the man she hoped to marry. But there he is, every time she turns a corner or hangs out with her friends, she's even paired with him in the bridal party. So as a compromise she allows him to help her fulfill the dying wishes of her best friend.
What starts out as the first task on Payton's bucket list may just lead to fulfilling the last task, because the attraction is magnetic and the feelings undeniably true.

Before I get to that, I’ll talk about the rest of the book. Honor is best known for never following through and finishing her projects. She’s a nice woman, loyal and selfless with her friends, but she doesn’t do relationships and she’s positive she can’t commit to anyone, let alone a life with someone else. However she’s determined to fulfill Payton’s last wishes, even if a few of them scare her rigid. Now all she has to do is find a man to have a one night stand with, and preferably not the man she’s super attracted to.
Bryce is tired of being a good guy, tired of being left, of never measuring up to something he can’t understand. His relationship with Payton has left more than a few scars, but he can’t deny that there’s something between Honor and himself – and not just Payton’s ghost. He wants to help her, he wants to be a bad boy for once, and he wants to be seen for himself. In fact Bryce is flat out adorable. He’s sweet and romantic and supportive and perfect in so many ways, it’s no wonder Honor can’t stop thinking about him.
If I’m honest, Honor’s guilt towards Payton does get a little tired and drawn out throughout this book. There are other things at work too, of course, since Honor has some pretty big relationship issues. Understandable, though in both cases I just wish she would learn to let things go a little more. It would also have been nice to know why Payton kept her relationship with Bryce so super secret – he’s a great guy, why didn’t she want to share him with the world? The issue with Honor’s brother, Cooper, felt a little contrived too.
However, those are little niggles that didn’t stop me from enjoying the whole book. And then there were those scenes: Jaws and obscure scrabble. Oh my word. It’s all so cute and romantic and just perfect, I think I felt my heart squeezing tight with happiness. I love Bryce. I can’t help it, he completely won me over in this book. Honor is nice and all, but it’s all about Bryce for me and the way he supports and encourages her. A true romantic hero. This was my first Robin Bielman book, but it definitely won’t be the last. I need more from this series!
