Francis Beckett is a journalist, broadcaster, playwright, and historian. But I wanted more meat on the bones, and it also needs a bit of updating to more recent times.
It certainly, though, didn't make me rethink my feelings about the person who damaged what was once my party so badly. Right now, that damage looks permanent.
As for the seemingly limitless greed and all the people hired to shield Blair from proper questioning, his actions tell us almost as much anyway. If he was anything other than power- and money-mad, and had nothing to hide, then he would simply prove it.
But, of course, he'll get away with Iraq and the rest of it. They always do. It's only the ordinary people who don't.
The only reviews that will be negative are either sad Blair supporters or far eastern votes for sale that the loan sharks use to gain credibility. Same as.
This is a very well researched and written work and makes me quite pleased that I didn't like him and the grin right from the start
