What a shame, this second instalment of the series is a real let down.

It seems Lionhead have tried to make an RTS (real time strategy), and failed miserably. The game has none of the charm of it's predecessor, none of the quirkiness or enjoyability. It is very difficult to learn how the game works, and controlling it is a usability nightmare. Selecting units is very difficult unless you're right on top of them, and releasing units is even more difficult - it involves shaking the mouse from side to side, which believe it or not is very awkward and it took me several shakes before a unit flag disappeared. This causes issues for the game, given the fact that now that you're in control of not only your creature and a few disciples, but an entire city of them, and armies, that all need pointing and clicking and frustrating shaking of the mouse to release them (I wanted to throw my mouse against the wall). It's as if the game is overreaching, it's trying to be something it's clearly not. The graphics have improved a little bit, but require some high specs to run decently without lag.
