Coop grows on you. He's dazzlingly handsome, confident in his looks and has years of working the charm to his advantage . Oh and he's a TV star.
His universal knock 'em dead appeal is more than enough to give the average woman an inferiority complex.
But Coop has his insecurities, he's a tiny bit vulnerable but best of all - he can laugh at himself.
Libby has her own production agenda and he's just supposed to play a walk on part....
This is a fun, sparkling read with a likeable cast and a loveable and occasionally hot couple.

I’ve read quite a few books by this author and, for me, by far the majority have been 5* reads and IMHO this is another! Most of the stories I’ve read from her have involved a small, close knit community - usually Marietta in Montana but the location has changed for this new series. This story is mainly set in the Sentinel Pass, a small community that you just can’t pass through as it is at a dead end road. They have some tourists, but not many and most folks have lived there for generations. . . . including the postmaster, Libby McGannon. She’s single and really wants to become a mother but has no boyfriend or prospect of one so she advertises on the internet for a sperm donor and that’s the trigger for the whole story and series….

Cooper Lindstrom is an actor and presenter who has been devastated by his mother’s untimely death, especially when he discovers she’s gambled away most of her own and his money, so much so that he’s having death threats from one bookie she dealt with. His current series is unlikely to be renewed so he needs to kick start his career again and he believes making a sitcom based upon Libby’s advert may be the way to recoup his losses. He contacts Libby and goes to visit and as attraction flares between them, Cooper finds that maybe he does want to become a real father to Libby’s child but with his secret agenda he knows that Libby will never forgive him for changing her safe haven town and for not being truthful from the start . . .

The town is filled with fantastic secondary characters and it is easy to see additional stories involving more of these in future. I particularly enjoyed the development of a relationship between Cooper and Libby, Mac, Kat, Jenna and Char.

This was a really fun story. Cooper and Libby were both great characters. Cooper was the perfect combination of snooty actor and bumbling guy with low self-esteem. It was fun to watch how his character grew throughout his "adventure" in Sentinel Pass. Libby was a very strong character, almost too strong. She spent way too much time caring about what everyone else would think or say about her. It's one of the hazards of being in a very small town. Her friends were a great crew of girls though. It was a fun story to read.

This wasn't what I expected in a book about a Hollywood star. Coop has been ruled and organised by his mother his whole life and we gradually get to see his insecurities and lack of self-belief. I just wanted to give him a hug! Libby lives where she is but needs a child to complete her life. These two come together in a quirky and beautiful was. If I'm picky I would love to have followed them a bit further, for Coop to learn more about himself and how his mother wasn't always right.
A really lovely, gentle read with well written characters and a large cast, with the main characters glowing brightly.
