Oh dear.........I should've been tipped off before I even reached the Introduction when it was listed as The True crime Read. Why wasn't Crime capitalised too ? However, I let that go and then Introduction is written but the final n is in a totally different size/font and just looks ridiculous.
Then we have mislead used instead of misled and apostrophe was added to parents where there was no use for one, inverted commas were dropped and I packed it in at only 5% (which probably only equated to 5 pages) when I read this: The Roney Plaza ("Might I remind you Mr.Halliday, this ain't the Roney Plaza":Alan Ladd Box 13).....I have NO idea what on earth this meant and I'd seen enough by then.
It's clearly not even had a cursory proofreading exercise. I never download books with fewer than 200 pages as a rule but made an exception in this case as the story has always fascinated me. Not in this state, though.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not worth the dollar. 19 Nov. 2016

I have read five books on this case so far. It is not the whole story. More like a bad cliff notes version. It even has some known facts wrong. Didn't like. Paid a dollar and it was too much

I grew up in L.A. and the crime was the talk of the adults in my family, reading this brought back memories of those family conversations and long passed adults from my youth.

5.0 out of 5 stars It's All in the Details 7 Feb. 2015
By M. Jacobs - Published on Amazon.com
Ms. Short's life and death has been written about ad nauseum. This particular book gave more insight to her life than any others I have read. The only thing that would have made this book better would have been a dang diagram. There were so many people involved in her life, even I couldn't keep them straight. Great book!
