Requires quite a lot of brute force to get a Pi in and the moulding is not super-accurate. I have three of these and one of them prevents the HDMI connection from working because it doesn't line up properly, all three of them were nasty to fit and made me feel like I was going to break something. Sure there must be nicer options.

It's a handsome case. Too bad it doesn't close around the Raspberry Pi (see customer images). Probably fiddled with it for about 20-30 minutes and concluded that it must be cut wrong or something. But 2 stars for a good, elegant design otherwise.

UPDATE: Seller is not acknowledging return request. Claim opened... they sure responded to THAT though! Still negotiating.

Little hard & difficult to open, insert Pi into place & close because it comes with no information but if you own a Pi you should be smart enough to figure it out & complete in a few minutes I'd of thought.

Feels like cheap plastic but its not too too bad, just respect it as anything else & it be fine. Its not that really nasty cheap plastic, for the price & looks its good but it ""seems"" not built to be opened or& remove the Pi from its holding place very often is also part of why a 4*, time will tell ... give it a shot if you are thinking about it, its rather tidy if you have all black cables USB dongles devices/cables & memory card in a white setting ... + not bad rubber feet to stop sliding

Received my case today for my Pi. The case is perfect, the pi fits in easily and securely. I dunno why people in the previous reviews said they had major issues. Its all about looking at the case first, looking where the clips are. some are flat, some are slanted. Timed myself and it took 30 seconds from box to fitted.

There are a few reviews around saying that these cases don't fit the Raspberry Pi, but that has not been my experience. It is understandable, though, because there are no instructions supplied If you take the bottom half of the case, and get the raspberry pi oriented correctly, so that the ports line up with where the holes will be, you should be able to find on one side of the case two posts that the board can sit on and two tabs it needs to go underneath. As long as you do that first, the other side of the board will clip into the bottom of the case and then the top snaps on easily. The only problem is that there are no hole for connections to the GPIO pins.

Like most other reviewers, I have two problems with this case:

1) It seems like it requires a lot of force to fit the case around the board, if it's even possible to do so.

2) Even when sitting in the case, the ports are vastly misaligned. It seems as though riser posts of some kind are required, but not supplied.

Awful.

It has taken me about a week to work out how to seat the Pi correctly, including several hours of frustration and terror of breaking the card, however it now fits. I have read many of the reviews here, some saying fantastic case, most saying that it is hard to put together. One helpfully suggested placing it in the bottom element first, not the top. You need to get the Pi under the clips which secure the top half. It is painfully obvious once you see it, however a single sheet of paper (even a Post-It!) from the Pi Hut with a quick diagram would have saved me a lot of stress. It is a fantastically built case of high quality, and I don't know of many reviews which would disagree, but the lack of instructions (very simple) drops this at least a star, and I seriously considered returning it before I broke my Pi. Now that it is fixed I am however very happy with it.

The case looks nice but a LOT of force is required to get the pi in or out. I broke my pi getting it in.
