Black Cat Blues, is a heart-stopping non-stop thrilling suspense. I could not put it down! It kept me reading until late into the night. I devoured it to find out who was the murderer! Exciting till the very last page. Amazing debut, for Jo-Ann Carson' new series Vancouver Blues Suspense. A must to read if you love thriller suspense with a romantic touch! Excellent writing, a very fast-paced thriller that you won't want to put down.

Set, in Vancouver, on the West coast of Canada and Grandville Island where the heroine Maggy lives on her boat. The story starts as, Jimmy Daniels, a private investigator, is stabbed to death in an alley behind the Black Cat Blues bar, where Maggy, is a blues singer. While he is dying, he reveals to her a secret! Enters in her life, Jimmy's brother, Logan, a gorgeous man, who intends to find out who is the murderer! They will team up to find clues to help their case, but danger is still lurking in the background. Who did it? Another man named, Hunter, will offer his help, both Hunter and Logan will fall for the beautiful Maggy. Which one will she choose? Is she ready for a long time commitment? Is she safe from danger with the murderer still not caught? Just follow her wild adventure to know more.

This thriller will keep you on the edge of your seat until the exciting conclusion. Black Cat Blues, is one of the very best thrillers I have read. I have Ms. Carson on my must read list now, and can't wait for the next book. I enjoyed it so much that I highly recommend it.

Maggie Malone is a blues Singer, who is also working two day jobs to make ends meet. As she leaves the club one night she finds a dying man. This is just the start of the s*** storm that comes into her life.
Between the policeman who is convinced she is hiding something, Logan, the victim's brother, and the killer, Maggie has far too much on her plate. All she wants is to sing.
This is a fast moving thriller. We know who the killer is because he talks also, but no-one else does. Why is he killing? Will he find what he is looking for? How many must die before he is caught ? There is a romantic flavour to go with the mystery, but even that has our heroine confused. She must solve the puzzle before any more people close to her pay the price. An intriguing read.

HASH(0x926fdc9c) out of 5 stars Sensuous music of the Blues 22 Jan. 2016

Maggie, a blues singer, witnesses a murder in a back alley. Not wanting to get involved with the police she keeps the dying man's words to herself. But when she meets the victim's brother, Logan, she confesses. He's drop dead gorgeous but lives his life by much more conventional rules than Maggie who doesn't trust cops. As the chemistry between them ramps up Maggie's intuition begins working overtime. Is she being followed? The murderer could be stalking her. The bone chilling dampness of Canada's west coast is woven into the darkness of the plot as one by one men are murdered. Is her sexy dockside buddy, Hunter, a true friend or could he also be a suspect? Add the hidden stash of cult leader Brother XII's gold to the plot and you have a fast paced suspense relieved by sizzling sex and laced with the sensuous music of the blues. I loved the lyrical sea faring imagery and the musical quotes.

The Black Cat Blues

Welcome to The Black Cat Blues bar and Maggy Malone. When a man is found on death's door all she can do is call 911 and hold him while he dies. But before he does he says two words - or partial words. She's left with two words that may or may not mean anything and a mystery to solve while she sings the blues and tries to decide who she can trust - before she becomes the next victim. I loved this book. And it's even better if you read it with jazz playing softly in the background and a glass or two of wine.

Wow....I could not put this one down. Fast moving and suspenseful. It had a touch of romance, some tense thrilling moments, a little bit of gore, a little bit of psychic ability and really kept you on your toes while reading. Maggy finds herself in the wrong place at the wrong time, a few times but manages with the help of the two "hunks" in her life and a cop that didn't give up, to prove she can do more than just sing.

HASH(0x92d9efb4) out of 5 stars VANCOUVER...CAT BLUES ARE BLACK? 24 Mar. 2016

I read for 1st time this author & I'm impress with her cunning. A PI dead & the Singer who find it by chance?

Good premise, the plot interesting. The author know her characters & move them with ease in the scenery.

Good thinking that the plot although interesting doesn't cut in different mini-plots. A new author's problem that Carson avoids carefully.

Told you more than the description...NO...I HATE...SPOILERS.

An interesting reading that leave you wanting more & read without stop. Even me, gave Carson 5☆ & it's just begginingMY PERSONAL VIEW: Indie Authors doesn't had a troupe of people behind them (like when you had a Publish House, PR, etc).

They had to work hard to publish their books for themselves. Lets help them, you can post a positive real deal review pointing what you find out of the box and don't had to bite the authors head.

Lets face it "big name authors" are basking in their "earn names". Indies are working hard & they're the future of literature.

I received this book in exchange for an honest review. I'm a reader of many years and I'm in for: Read, Revise & Review.

I 'm honest for me, other readers & authors. If you don't do that & reach the authors how we can had better books?
