HASH(0x95cacfdc) out of 5 stars Well done! 27 Jun. 2004
By A Customer - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Hardcover
This collection has an outstanding selection of poetry and fiction. The diversity of writers and topics (within the general theme of birds) is both impressive and enjoyable. This book is wonderful company and well worth the read.

HASH(0x95cad444) out of 5 stars Sheer delight 12 Jan. 2011
By Carol Trevathan - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Hardcover
This book was a Christmas gift from a friend and fellow birder, and I expected something different -- and less -- than what it turned out to be. Every story and poem hit me somewhere near the heart, and I needed to stop and reflect on each insight before moving on. Birds figure in each piece, and yet none of it is really about birds. The birds are turning points, metaphors, focus of reflection, and in every story help the reader see something new. Those who chose these stories and poems clearly know birds, but they also know good writing and they know the hearts of humans.

HASH(0x95cad468) out of 5 stars Beautiful Book 16 Dec. 2005
By Leslie O. Olivas - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Hardcover
This book has a lovely theme: birds and their relationships with humans. The poems and stories are from many sources, all chosen by a father and daughter who share a love for birds and for writing. Great to have as a short reader and moments of reverie.

This would be a great gift book, as well.

There are just so many poems and stories that could be chosen... some resonate in depth for me. That is sweet. I love the title.
