"A brilliant summary of present-day and fossil cycads, the most primitive of living seed plants. Clearly-written and well-organized. . . . A lovely book, well suited to the student of plant evolution and the serious sub-tropical horticulturist alike."--F. Olday, Northeastern Naturalist

As a novice in the field of cycad colelction/conservation, I found the book very handy and usefull. Some of the content may be a little to scientific for the general person out there, but otherwise this is an excellent book.
