[Have to admit I haven't finished the book yet] Rechungpa's life is exciting and a fantastic tale of a wild yogi but don't except an entertaining read of that here. If you are diligent enough to extract the meaning from the ocean of footnotes and references you can get a very clear picture of Rechungpa's life and I guess that was the aim of Mr Peter Alan Roberts.

This book is a tough read. It is written in the scholastic style which renders it both unreadable and largely unintelligable, not to mention it renders an important and fascinating topic - dull. Wish it was in a more readable format for regular folks like me.
