You'll dive below the waves in Bioshock to seek salvation after a terrible plane crash but, it's not long after your arrival that things aren't as they seem and you must fight for survival. In Bioshock 2 you take the form of a hulking Big Daddy, but not just any Big Daddy, the original Prototype. The spiritual sequel to the legendary Pc classic System Shock, BioShock is a revolution in the shooter genre that will forever change the expectations for the xbox 360 FPS. Going beyond run and gun corridors, monster-closet AIs and static worlds, BioShock on PS3 creates a living, unique and unpredictably shocking FPS experience. BioShock is the Shooter 2.0.
Bioshock begins as your plane crashes into icy uncharted waters, where you discover a rusted bathysphere and descend into Rapture, a city hidden beneath the sea. Constructed as an idealistic society for a hand picked group of scientists, artists and industrialists, the idealism is no more. Now the city is shockingly littered with corpses, powerful guardians roam the corridors as biologically altered little girls loot the dead, and genetically mutated citizens ambush you at every turn.

what can i say, to me it still feels fresh today, it rewards the player the more you put into it the more you get out of it, bioshock 2 a good sequal, bioshock infinate an ok game mared possibly by the franchises success, possibly over reaching and over promising certain aspects and finally production issues with costs spiraling, when money was scarce.
literally this is a fantastic game, that needs to be put on the shelf next to the best in the buissness, legends like halo, deux-ex, half-life and portal.
andrew ryan, tenenbaume, sander cohen, the splicers, big daddies, i could go on and on and on, if you have never played this but enjoy a good story that pulls you in, you will not be disappointed.
I just hope they don't mess up number 4, but even if they do the original cant be beaten.
over and out
Regarding the first game, on a plane crash in the middle of the Pacific, you discover Rapture, a city under the sea.
Many people say that this is an horror game, it's not! It isn't even that dark, and the places with the ambushes are easy to find, people get scared because they already go with the idea of this being horror.
The gameplay is simple and easy to understand, so I won't talk much about that.
The AI knows how to dodge a little on the hardest difficult, but nothing much.
The scenario is excellent and the music is also good.
The DLC content are just some challenges (besides extra plasmid on the campaign), so nothing much.
As for the second game, this one takes place some years after the original, and now we control a Big Daddy (the thing on the cover), the gameplay stays the same, the scenarios and music also stay the same, everything stays the same.
As for the DLCs, there's again challenge maps. And one campaign DLC, called Minerva's Den.
Minerva's Den doesn't change much either. There's also a multiplayer but...
So why buying this if there isn't a lot of difference from both games? Because of the stories, Bioshock 1 as a pretty good twist, but Bioshock 2 and Minerva's Den DLC have a better story.
PS: You need to install Bioshock 2 on your PS3 hard drive.
The Bioshock 1 DLC museum and challenge rooms are interesting and fun. The first gameis great and the 2nd one is so far too. A great buy/ deal.
