My seven year old son loved this book; he tried to describe it at school in his book review lesson and apparently became so speechless with laughter that the whole class now wants to read it! 'Grandma' comments that it was rather rude in parts, but that this is no doubt a good thing! If anyone wants a book that will encourage reluctant readers to have a try, then this could be the one. It's definitely up there with Horrid Henry on the favourites' shelf in our family and I am hoping there may be more in the pipeline.

Bought this for my grandaughter to read on a long plane journey which we haven't done yet, so she hasn't read it. I have though and it is three stories, all of which are fun and entertaining for young school age children. The more they enjoy reading a book at this age, the more likely they are to enjoy reading all their lives. A sound investment - especially if we get an hour's peace on the plane!

My son was recently given this for his fourth birthday and thinks its wonderful and hilariously funny. The fact that Mr and Mrs Bonkers call each other 'Piglet' and 'Sausage' has him in stitches, and the plots of the three stories are brilliant - with lots of twists and turns and always with warm hearted good humour. I can thoroughly recommend it. I am only sad that so far there don't seem to be any more in the series - surely not for long...?

My son had been reading horrid henry, I noticed that he was copying some of henry's nasty put downs. Bought Billy Bonkers, my son loves the book and he has gone back to being polite. Only down side is that he will stay up late reading it over and over, but his reading has improved!

I bought this boook as a present for my friends little boy, Billy for his 5th birthday. He loved it and so did mum. She says she giggled so much that she is going to lend it to me to read. I am going to get the next book for him for Xmas.
