I read the first chapter of this book when it was advertised at the end of another novel I was reading on my Kindle. It sparked my interest and I really don't know why because I am ttotal and a book about booze would not be my thing! There was absolutely no indication that it was a trilogy. So imagine my frustration when I got to the end and it wasn't the end. Well I couldn't put the first book down so I was almost hyperventilating searching Amazon for book two and there I found book three as well (phew!) I don't like hot and cold she loves me he doesn't love me romances, I'm not interested in in booze but this trilogy gripped me from the start and I really couldn't put them down. I do like an author who is talented enough to make you feel all the emotions even the deeper ones. So this author has the talent. There is just one thing.... in the first novel the main male character reveals he has a secret stash of food and explains it makes him feel safe because there was a time when he had no food at all! That was never explained why in any of the books and I want to know why? Why did a man who came from a wealthy background , for a short period of time not have any food at all to eat?????

Meet Lila Monroe’s laterest billionaire, Hunter Knox, the CEO of Knox Bourbon Whiskey. On the outside he seems rich, entitled and arrogant but there seems to be a little something more to this guy and all is not as it seems and I think he hasn’t has it as easy as Ally thinks he has.

Ally is at her wits end, getting nowhere in her career as an advertising executive, it seems bro’s before ho’s is the motto her company favours when dishing out campaigns. she feels like they take her ideas and pass them as their own and Ally is making one final attempt to make herself a name with the Knox whiskey deal.

Ally is confident, yet shy and quite dorky, she says the complete wrong things ant the wrong time and she is a very endearing character.

The story progresses along the will they/won’t they vibe as Ally likes Hunter but she feels that being with him will put her fragile career on the line. Ally is the black sheep of her family the one who doesn’t live up to her mother’s standards, she lives in her sister’s shadow so failing in her career is not an option, not even for the hot CEO.

all in all this is another great start to another great series from Lila Monroe and in her usual style there is a monster cliffy….

I had a feeling that I was going to love this series. So much so that I held off from starting this until I had all three together. Which turned out to be a very good thing as I read them all back to back with barely a breath held between them. Talk about fun addictive reading – absolutely loved it! If you loved The Hotel series by Lola Darling you will love this.

Ally works at an advertising firm where she is constantly being over looked for big projects due to the fact she is female. They seem to think she is perfect for the tampon ads but to give her a real challenge like revitalising the brand of a top bourbon company, they just want to push her aside. After begging to be given a chance to at least present an ideas pitch she decides to get in some last minute research. By research I mean going to a bar and trying out all the competition – well someone’s got to it! Only problem is the fact it gets a little hard to focus on the bourbon when a very hot guy seems intent on joining her – Ally’s thoughts keep jumping to that fact that she really wants to well ‘jump’ him. Well as she was always told in school, research is always best done with a partner, so why not just go with the flow. You can feel the sexual tension rolling off them right from the start and it doesn’t take long before Ally asks him up to her room. To say things get heated from there on out would be an understatement but before Ally can get to the main event with her still unnamed conquest he gets an important phone call and has to leave. All she can think is that it was probably for the best anyway and she should just focus on her presentation for the next day.

I received a ARC from the author in exchange for a honest review.
4* read.
Be warned this isn't a standalone and it does end on a big cliffhanger. Usually i won't read them till their all released as i hate cliffhangers, but as there isn't to big a gap between them been released i wasn't to bothered even with how much of a shocker the ending was. It just means I'm now eagerly awaiting the next part.
Lila is a new author to me but I have heard great things about this author before from fellow readers so i was looking forward to reading this. As the title stay it is a billionaire story but with a twist so its unique in its own way from others out there.
Ally works in a male dominated career and is looked down on because of that so shes out to prove herself. Ally and Hunter have massive sparks from the start and Ally finds it hard to resit him and the connection they make. These two together give you a book full of so much sexual tension and humor that will keep you addicted throughout and the ending will have you screaming at your kindle and counting the weeks down till the next part. Can't wait for the rest of this series.
