I thought this was quite cute. I really liked the heroine which is just as well as we only get the story from her perspective. I would have liked the hero's as well (he's not predictable which helps make him a great character), but the author hints at what the hero is feeling without making it obvious so even if the heroine doesn't always pick up on the clues we can (I like that). This is well written and it made me laugh. It is only part one (which I somehow missed). I'll probably skip book two and buy book three (because I'm cheap). I understand authors need to give away part of a story to persuade people to pay for the rest (so the author can buy essentials like food and books - being an author I understand this well), but I wish this trend for one story broken into three short parts would be binned and they'd just split them into two books. One third separate and free two-thirds sold as one book. Rant over! :) If you like funny modern romances with Billionaire heroes and underling heroines...who both meet their match.
If you loved the romcom "Two Weeks Notice" you'll love this. Similar humour!

Lacey Newman's life moves from zero to infinity in the blink of an eye in this fast paced romance, her boss is a nightmare and the company's playboy owner Grant Devlin leaves a trail of destruction wherever he goes. Until Lacey takes him under her wing and gives him a few home truths much to Grants delight.

I thought this book held promise of a good romantic story, alas how disappointing it soon became. The background story was good but Lacey who was the story teller was so awful. As a character she came over as common, flippant, unrealistic and crude. I would not be interested in continuing the series as I know it would be more of the same. The author sounds like a crude teenager.

Oh Lacey…I loved you from the very first date with Mr Sloshed!! Your inner banter and your empathy with the lobsters drew me to you like a moth to a flame! I have never read such a fantastic female lead as Lacey! She was no pushover. She was a career girl with a disastrous love life which was all about to change with the devilish debonair Grant Devlin.

I literally peed myself laughing at this book. Lacey’s inner dialogue was hilarious and not in a fake way, it was a real genuinely hilarious inner voice.

Grant Devlin was the typical playboy alpha male who was quite obviously bowled over by the sassiness of Lacey. He knew he affected her and he played into her hands, he played into her hopes and dreams and revealed his own dreams too and he planned to play into her knickers too!

Honestly this book had it all….the banter between these two was clever, the inner dialogue of Lacey’s conscious was funny, the playfulness of Grant made me grin and smirk alongside him and I knew from the first chapter that I was hooked on wanting to read more about Lacey and Grant.

I liked the playfulness that the author gave them. Grant wasn’t a mega a-hole, he was boyish, he was carefree, relaxed and laidback. Lacey was young in spirit but ambitious. I liked that they weren’t all stuffy and arrogant.

There was a lot of innuendo in this book and I’m guessing that the sex is going to be off the scale hot in the next book because the small teaser in this book raised more than a smile from me!

What a fantastic start to a series. Five well deserved smirky banter stars!!

So for those that don't rate this a 5 star read or more - WELL WHY THE FRIGGIN HELL NOT! This book is so bloody refreshing! If you need a pick you up - then READ THIS BOOK NOW! It's bloody hilarious!

OMG Lacey gets the biggest high five! She's awesome! Yeah she might pee a few off because of her slight self-effacing persona, but faced and pitted again the likes of Cruella de Vil meets Miranda Priestly. (The Devil Wears Prada for you non movie buffs) Then crikey I'd also be the assistant with her tail between her legs too under her steely reign! So give Lacey a break!

Grant. Oh my what is he up to? Mr Suave slicked, six packed, oiled body sex on legs is enough to wet anybody's area between your pursed and clamped shut thighs!

This is a book to read NOT in public lol. Because I laughed out loud several times, one time in particular I friggin got the uncontrollable giggles, just from Lacey's inner monologue.

What the hell is coming next? I rushing this review so I can rush off to read book 2 which thank god is locked and loaded ready to devour in the next five minutes!

Absolutely loving this series so far and here's the rub, I normally HATE series...... but oh boy this is a little gem and an easy bestseller series coming in my honest opinion. Considering this only slightly touches on eroticism, its so well done, so well written and so well brought to life that who the hell cares they haven't got their rocks off yet!

I received a copy of The Billionaires Bargain #1 in return for an honest review. My reviews are my own and are 100% honest.

MY RECOMMENDATION - GO BUY THIS BOOK RIGHT NOW!

Oh my god, Grant Devlin – scrumptious!!!!

This no holds barred Aussie is usually up to his eyes in all manner of shenanigans and all of his own making! The world is one great big playground to him and he has no shortage of playmates to party with but good times aside he has slipped up this time and is up to his eyes in s***!

Money and some very talented PR people including his right hand woman Lacey Newman can usually make it all disappear but this carefree billionaire is about to find that responsibility is knocking on his door. Because his current predicament is one that only he can resolve and it is time to face the music, time to step up to the plate and present a clean image to those that matter, after all it is his company that is on the line.

Can he show the world and more over his clients that he is ready to play in the grown up world?

Lacey has been running around after Grant for years, taking care of his every whim and saving his arse from more of his mishaps than she would care to admit too.

But this little lady holds no prisoners when it comes to calling a spade a spade – and that includes Grant, no matter how important he is, what power he has to hold over her, she pulls no punches when she tells him how much of a prick he is being… which she does quite often.

I loved the fact that the book has a character that I could get my claws into – hell, I hated Jacinda! Witch of a woman!!! How Lacey managed to remain even remotely civil to the bitch befuddled me, I would have rung her scrawny neck.
