Bill Getz is a retired military officer, industry and civil government executive. Bill is also a decorated combat veteran in both four-engine bombers and single-engine fighters. He is the publisher and editor of the two volume anthology, "The Wild Blue Yonder: Songs of the Air Force," over 1000 songs from WWI through post-Vietnam, with introductions by General James H. "Jimmy" Doolittle and Brigadier General Robin Olds. Bill has authored and co-authored non-fiction books, and has many published articles in leading journals. Bill and his wife, Vicki, live in Northern California. On December 31, 2012, Bill was appointed a Chevalier (Knight) of the Legion of Honor, France's highest honor, by President Hollande of France. On January 1, 2014, Bill's fourth novel, "Sarah: a tale of timeless love" was published by Amazon in both print and Kindle versions.
