I previously bought and read Atomic Zombie's Bicycle Builder's Bonanza which I liked. The Evil Genius book follows on from that quite nicely. There is a bit of overlap, but all in all The Evil Genius book is very good. Not only does it contain new bikes, but the electric vehicles section is also very interesting to read. I was surprised to see how capable these EVs are and how cheap they are to make. From time to time the book can be a bit basic, especially if you know your way around your tools and a bit of fabrication. This is not a problem because the reward lies in Brad's extremely pragmatic approach to building the bikes. Nothing seems to be too difficult and there seems to be no taboos that hinder you from building the strangest creations you can imagine. If you have to choose between the Bonanza book and the Evil Genius book, I'd recommend the Evil Genius book. But get both if you can. Now I just need to find some donor bikes and a bit of material and time and I'll be building!
