From the Author

How I came to write THE BIG KILLING
It all began when I was working as a Wall Street headhunter. We interviewed stockbrokers at the Four Seasons because we knew they'd come out for a free drink in an elegant place. A stockbroker I was interviewing jumped up from the table, said he had to make a phone call and left me and his attache at the table. When he wasn't back after a half hour, I paid the bill, picked up his attache and went to find him. I saw him huddled over the telephone and had the immediate thought, what if I open the door to the booth and he slides out dead? He wasn't of course and he doesn't know I wrote a book about the incident. When I began writing THE BIG KILLING, I wanted to feature two strong women, successful Wall Street women, partners. The most successful partners in crime I admired are Holmes and Watson. I played with the consonents and came up with Wesson, knew immediately that one partner would be Smith. Then I changed the letters slightly on Wesson and got Wetzon. Voila. Smith and Wetzon came to life. They go after the big guns on Wall Street. --This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.
