Ghostface, arguably the Wu's best emcee, has carved his own lane. He has a formula that works, and he's sticking to it.

If you own any of his earlier albums, and particularly his most recent joints (Pretty Toney, Fishscale, More Fish) you'll know exactly what to expect here... off the wall lyrics, crazy flows, respect for the old school, grown-man gangsterism and impeccable swagger. And Ghost delivers yet again.

In terms of 'the Formula'; "We Celebrate" featuring Kid Capri is this years "Be Easy", an old school party jam with that unmistakable Tony Starks twist. "Supa GFK" (Starks' take on Redman's "Sooperman Luva" series) is this years "Holla", where Ghost performs his party trick of rapping over an old soul record in its entirety, vocals and all, rather than sampling and looping it, and "Shakey Dog featuring Lolita" is, literally, this years "Shakey Dog", where Ghost gets his inimitable story-telling swagger on.

The guest appearances this time around are not limited to Wu-Tang emcees and Def Jam-signed vocalists, and on "Barrel Brothers", three of the hardest lyricists in the game (Ghost, Beanie Sigel and Styles P) combine for one of the strongest tracks on the album.

Of course, Ghosts old partner-in-rhyme Raekwon and other Wu emcees are here as usual (check for the excellent "Paisley Darts" for a soulful Wu posse cut), and it is on the Rae and Meth assisted "Yolanda's House" that Big Doe Rehab finds its main highlight... a witty and original track where the three emcees spin a tale set in the same building, where their individual stories collide, over one of the best beats on the album.

GFK has delivered one of the years best long players.

meh album, some tracks work but most don't. Another average ghost album, I guess he needs to rid himself of this stuff to make the great albums
