The book is a compilation of four "Things to Spot" titles so it's great value for money. You've got well over a 100 pages of scenes with a ton of detail in each. There's a wonderful variety of scenes from the rainforest to the Arctic, from a carnival to a fishing port, a pharoah's court to an Inca village, and the vocabulary range is nice and broad, it's not only simple stuff, so it will appeal to older kids too. Might be a while till my little one knows his "puffins" from his "oystercatchers" though. Beats "Where's wally?" hands down! This book has already earned its keep!

I bought this book for my 3 year old grandaughter, she loves it and I can see her being interested in it for years, so much to look at and talk about.

My daughter and I have had a lovely time spotting all the different things in this book. It works as a really nice jumping-off point for imaginative conversations as well because you can make up stories about all the animals and people in the pictures and ask your child what they think is going on, what's going to happen next etc. My daughter isn't a big chatterer, so using this book is hopefully going to work on her verbal skills a bit.

This is one of the best books I have bought our son. He is now 18 months old and loves looking at the detailed pictures on the pages. This is a bumper book made up of a number of the other 1001 things to spot series, including e.g. 1001 things to spot on the farm. It also helps learn counting and words as there are images round the edge of each page with the number of them appearing on the page written next to them. We took this on a long haul flight and it kept our son very well distracted for take off and landing. He is very active, but will sit and look at this book for quite some time before getting bored. Highly recommend.

my 2.5yr old is just getting the hang of counting and is enjoying this book - Also great for new words as there is so much in each picture. Have used it on a couple of train journeys, and it really helps while the time away.

This has been our favourite big book of things to spot. I annoyingly had to replace the first one I bought as I stupidly left it on the train. It is the perfect book for long journeys and has been a useful teaching aid to introducing geography and history.

As usual with Usborne books, this one does not disappoint. I have bought these books for my children for years now and they love them all. I am always on the look out for new Usborne books. Highly recommend this one.
