I think editor would be a better title than author for this guy. He's taken bits and pieces from other books - fully attributed it has to be said - including an entire short story from one particular Sci-Fi author, and put them all together. And as you might expect from such a collage it's variable in nature. Some of it made me laugh out loud, some of it was intriguing, some of it I found completely uninteresting.

Was it worth the £3.38 price ? Just barely.

so funny!!!!!!!!!!! parts made me laugh out loud. Interesting, funnt but useless facts. Thought airline bit funniest true quotes from pilot/mechanic logs really great time filler. Don't read while trying to get to sleep as laughing will keep you awake;; Very amusing although few bits not so good. Overall great!

I liked the book. I learned a lot more and found it very informative and interesting and funny. Its not just facts, its not just comic stuff, it's all mixed together so it makes it more interesting. Just purchased book 2, hope it's just as good or even better. Many pages too that I felt when I got to the end that I didn't want it to end.

This is a poorly researched book, full of factual errors. Although some of the 'facts' are interesting, there's so many errors that it's very difficult to take any of them seriously.
Such a shame as there was such potential there

If you're (& your nearest) in need of a good laugh, for three odd 'quidentials' (© yours truly, 2013) - you could either buy the pub bore a wee glass, and await the required moments for him to relaunch his tale of the "slipper and the bedpost" etc... Or, better still, you might choose to leave the pub bore, animatedly yapping away with scarcely a moment taken to breathe, in his seat (where he most dutifully belongs!!), and make your (routinely unheard) excuses - before sneaking off back home to read this book, which is assuredly + genuinely funny! Yes, this is funny. I'm not the pub bore: this is indeed described as charged: funny.

It's so full of amusing bits n pieces, that you'll be hard pressed not to 'larf your A+ off', at least several times per chapter. And, having said that, methought I'd heard them all by now, but this book proves that quite clearly, I haven't.

BTW, the kindle edition was easy to read and up to the professional standard one would expect. So no complaints there.

Rather than quote examples I would instead urge potential buyers to use the 'send sample now' option, which, for once, very much gives you a good idea of what to expect of the rest of the book. Lastly, if there is nothing in said sample which sufficiently excites you to laugh, then there is, by repute, a certain gentleman, awaiting your arrival, in your local pub; who claims, incidentally, to have a somewhat interesting story to tell you, once his parched throat is...

This book is funny.

Strange collection that lacked any kind of structure to the content, rather it seemed thrown together without any thought or planning of any sort put into it. Having said that it was quite fun and certainly interesting in parts, with one or two little gems in it. Probably somewhere between 3 & 4 stars would be a fair rating but I've gone for 4 because I certainly wouldn't like to put anyone off purchasing it because l think most who do will find a good portion of it enjoyable.

Mostly a trawl of oldies from the internet of 20 years ago and a couple of not so short 'short stories' thrown in for no obvious reason other than padding. Hope volume 2 is better.
