We have been purchasing these calendars for our whole family for some years, now. As the price has gradually risen year on year, we have decided not to buy them this year, having already produced a perpetual one for our grandchildren. Nevertheless, they are a blessing and the nature and scenic photographs on each page are stunning but lack any information alongside as to where they were taken, which is disappointing. But, at over £10 a time, they are now more expensive than a Bible.
However, for those who wish to encourage others to think about God's word and the beauty of creation, they make a very meaningful and beautiful present.

5.0 out of 5 stars Bible Calendar 14 Dec. 2006

-The following review was written for the 2006 and previous year Bible Calendars. I'm not happy at all with the 2007 calendar. Amazon gives me no way to change my rating.-

Each Christmas I purchase this Workman Bible calendar for myself and as a gift for others. We look forward each day to the next inspirational scripture. It's a nice way to review the Bible and to meditate upon each Word from God as it applies to our lives. I even tear off some of my favorite verses and put them up on my bulletin board next to my desk. The calendar is simply printed in large bold text with a large bold date on the bottom - no images at all. It's a good way to introduce friends and family to the Bible if they've never read it.

1.0 out of 5 stars False Bible Calendar? 3 Jan. 2007

The calendar has changed. It has pictures now, of things not even related to the Bible.

The print is now too small to read, and the date is in European format - not American.

Wednesday, 12 January, 2007 instead of Wednesday, January 12, 2007.

It is small at the bottom. The date numerals used to be big! The verse use to be BOLD!

Not any more!

The date is not readable without picking up the calendar, or using reading glasses. Nor is the verse. I spoke to the manufacturer, and they IMPROVED it. It is no longer usable as a calendar, nor even for Bible verses. Nice pictures, though? It is also no longer a page a day, since Saturday and Sunday share a page. A Bible calendar should not have a FALSE NAME. Nice touch.

We bought 3 to replace last year's calendars, and mom is very upset about this. By the way, the other reviewer obviously never saw THIS 2007 calendar. Mom went to book stores trying to get these, and there were none locally, so I spent time surfing for them, and ended up at Amazon. She thought they would look ok. WRONG. We wasted a lot of time.
5.0 out of 5 stars bible calender 17 Jan. 2011

I found these in a store for several years and then could no longer find them. I ordered one last year and loved it to much. Even if I don't have a day when I can ready my bible, I always have it available. My husband has grown to use it also. This year I ordered one for myself and some more for gifts. I would never be without one and highly recommend them.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not as good as it used to be 15 Jan. 2007
By Lindele Elliott - Published on Amazon.com
I have bought this calendar for my husband's Christmas present for at least the past ten years. We liked it because it featured Bible verses and only Bible verses, in good big type that was easy to see. This year (2007) for some unknown reason, somebody felt the need to add hokey nature pictures and combine the Saturday and Sunday verses onto one page. The result is that the verses themselves are about 1/10 the size they used to be, making them harder to read. We are not interested in pictures of trees and flowers and brooks and clouds. We probably won't buy this again unless they return to their previous format. But it does still feature a Bible verse for each day of the year.

2.0 out of 5 stars Unhappy in Carolina 9 Jan. 2007
By Vickie P. White - Published on Amazon.com
I have purchased this same calendar for the past 5 years for my elderly mom. This is the only thing she ever asks for Christmas! We are NOT happy with the changes. The print is too small for her to read across the room. That was why she liked it so much. I searched everywhere thinking I had the wrong calendar only to be disappointed that it had changed. Please change back to the "Original" Bible Page A Day Calendar. The pictures are nice, but aren't relevant. Thank you for your consideration!
