There is nine headings, each heading is followed by a quote then a biblical verse. After this there is 6 or 7 questions to ask yourself or a group. Each section is concluded with a short prayer of about 4 or 5 lines. This is all spaced out to the point that the 'book' would actually fit into half the amount of pages used.
I also ordered 'God Art' from the same author/seller a book even smaller than this one but a fraction thicker (still less than the depth of a watch). They arrived together in one envelope BUT I had to pay postage for each one individually!
Overall I'm very disappointed, I was looking forward to receiving this book (had to wait about a week and a half) and spending sometime with the studies within.
It is so easy to drift along with our art making without even applying or thinking about our faith and how our Christian worldview relates to our practice. We are in danger of either live double lives or slowly drifting from God and his truths.
This book has helped my friends and I to maintain Biblical thinking about my art practice, to see afresh how God intended us to be creative because we are made in His image. Discovering how much God’s values art and creativity. Seeing anew the freedom we have in Christ and how He is Lord over every area of life and subjects. As well get reminded that we have a joyful responsibility to communicate truth in our art and work hard for God in developing our craft.
This book can be read on your own, but I’ve found it more helpful going through it in a group. This book has fuelled so much edifying discussions that both challenged and encouraged me. It’s easy to read and understand, warmly written and a good spring board for discussion and personal thought.”
There is room in the books to write notes and they are a perfect size to carry around with you. Highly recommend!
