About the Author

Siobhan Davis writes young adult science fiction fantasy romance books, and she is the author of the Amazon bestselling True Calling series. The first book in her new Saven series was released in December 2015. A self-professed teenager forever--at least when it comes to books, music, and films, Siobhan is totally addicted to teen fiction and superhero/blockbuster movies. She loves baking, shoes, bags, makeup, anti-wrinkle cream, anything pink, Kelly Clarkson, Katy Perry, and Robert Pattinson (definitely Team Edward). Before pursuing a full-time writing career, Siobhan forged a successful corporate career in Human Resources over the last twenty years. She resides in the Garden County of Ireland with her husband and two sons. True Calling book one was my first experience of this genre and I adored it, the characters, the setting, the excitement and the pacing. Here, back on earth, the pacing was as good, with the shocks coming fast and hard. From the start I was trying to figure out who Ariana could trust, and where the traps were going to appear and I was surprised most times. The chases were epic, and I beyond enjoyed the fighting scenes as well as the technology. I found I missed Novo a little, whether it was the idea of it, as when she had been in Novo she was trying to figure out what was going on on Earth and so some of the element of surprise was taken away.
The characters were great in terms of both the people who were helping her and her enemies, with a big grey line separating most of them, thus confusing me as to who was ACTUALLY good, and who was bad, making me want to read on.
The one issue I had was with the romance in this though that could be an age thing, coupled with the fact that I have no experience in the genre. I found them to be a bit too obsessed by the love triangle, especially at times they were in actual bodily danger. All three, Zane, Cal and Ariana couldn’t stop analyzing each other, and Ariana was overly dramatic and almost self obsessed quite regularly. I really liked all three when it came to the eventful parts where they were trying to escape, but then Ariana would practically swoon over Cal and would be so awful to Zane, with her regularly saying how hard everything was on her and how she had to look after herself. However the ‘let’s go’ hero parts, when they came, showed Zane’s strength and almost made up for his puppy dog behavior around Ariana.
The descriptions of the locations were AMAZING, I was wherever they were and the ending banged me on the head.

BEYOND REACH REVIEW
Siobhan Davis has done it again. I am privileged to read this in advance of publication and I’m amazed at her ability to produce a second fabulous book so quickly. I can’t wait for the third book.
Beyond Reach, takes up where True Calling left off. Arianna is back on earth, living with the rebel movement and separated from her family and Cal, her boyfriend. She struggles with her emotions as she tries to rescue her loved ones, all the time becoming closer to her ex-boyfriend Zane. She is in constant conflict with the rebel leadership as she refuses to hand over the information entrusted to her by her father.
We learn more about the rebel movement and other resistances, which have sprung up on earth and I was particularly taken with the idea of the Irish movement Saoirse!
As events continue to unfold, tragedy strikes and the story culminates with a major battle. As readers, we are rooting for Arianna and her friends and desperate for things to work out in the next book.
Beyond Reach continues to explore the idea of Big Brother watching and controlling in the background. The story is utterly believable and a warning to us all not to be complacent. The characters speak to us and I no longer know who to root for in the ‘love square’.
Another must read for all YA enthusiasts and I can’t wait for the next instalment.

I received a free review copy of this book from the author in exchange for my honest review. I have not been compensated and all opinions expressed are my own honest views.
Attention all YA readers! Beyond Reach is the second book in the wonderful True Calling trilogy, and is just as gripping and eventful as the first book. The author’s writing continues to flow well, making Beyond Reach a riveting page-turner, especially for fans of the YA and dystopian genres.
The characters are all superb, there’s a perfect blend of heroes and mysterious villains, with a few light-hearted and comedic friends along the way. You can connect well with the characters, allowing you to feel their pain and understand the motives for their actions.
Beyond Reach is fast-paced with many dramatic plot twists, shocking and enticing the reader from start to finish. Earth is built up and described brilliantly (with a few snippets of life on Novo here and there) creating a 3D feel to the world the characters live in. As a reader I often found myself wondering I would prefer to live in the book - Earth or Novo.
This book is un-put-down-able and has an outstanding ending that matches those of Catching Fire and Insurgent, leading perfectly into what will be the third and final book in the True Calling trilogy, for which I can hardly wait for. If you loved True Calling, you need to read Beyond Reach.

(I received a review copy of this book from the publisher in exchange for my honest review. I have not been compensated for my review and receiving a free copy of the book has in no way influenced my opinion. This review is my genuine review having read this book. This review was also posted to my personal blog.)

Wow, another good read from Siobhan Davis.

I'm already a massive fan of book #1 (True Calling) and this book has lived up to its expectation and more.

This book is action packed and hard to put down.

Ariana is now back on Earth with Zane, but Cal is still on Novo alongside her Mom and Sister.

She's shown evidence of Cal's betrayal and she's thoroughly confused about it, further more she's started to develop feelings for Zane.

Towards the end of the book, we were told that Ariana has started to regain all of her memories. She's remembered something very significant and life-changing. What is it and how does it affect her relationship with Cal / Zane?

I can't wait to find out in the next book!!!
