Radio talk-show worker Miranda (Abril) uses daily dog walking as an excuse to cruise for extra-marital encounters. And successful scriptwriter Javier (Bardem) is a phone-sex junkie. When the two meet at a sex addiction clinic to undergo therapy, they embark on a steamy affair with psychological, suspenseful and shocking ramifications. Meanwhile, Miranda s husband Félix (Gomez) is investigating a murder case that inexplicably becomes linked to his wife s affair. You'll be hooked by the opening credit sequence and then you'll be swept away by the sheer bravura style, non-stop sexual antics and powerful luridness of this highly erotic study in compulsive obsession - with a startling and unexpected twist ending.

There are a small number of nude shots and a very brief, almost laughable, scene about "Sex Addicts Anonymous" (shades of Basic Instinct / Color of Night) which is used mainly to show that some of the characters are troubled in a number of ways. This might not match well with the title of the film, which would seem to promise lots of de-robing! The reason for the title, however, is closely linked to one of the characters.
After watching this you may have a new-found relationship with really strong coffee which adds a comic twist near the end of the film.
Overall I watched this with some friends and everyone thought it was an excellent crime film - which kept peoples attention to the end. So 5-stars !
The characters of Victoria and Javier meet up at a `Sex Addicts' therapy group. They hit it off, and one night, he offers to take her home. On entering the car park, he can't find his car, so they start to have sex in a battered old dodge car. Later this car comes up in a crime that will link them both.
Victoria Abril is adorable as always, and Javier Bardem is such an accomplished actor, he's a pleasure to watch. If you're familiar with Spanish cinema, there are many faces you will recognise here. This is a real treat for Spanish movie lovers.
See this if you liked Basic Instinct or Sliver etc.
As viewing that sort of scene was the reason I bought it, you can imagine my disappointment. Is there compensation in the storyline, I am afraid not.
The leading lady did add comedy though. Whatever she was doing from patting the pet dog, to ordering in the restaurant, or having sex in the back of car, she always had the expression of a housewife who has just walked into Sainsbury's to find that they have changed all the shelves around.
Hopeless for the voyeur. As always, for the intelligent viewer, my reviews are a waste of time.
The plot is your usual girl meets lots of boys, then joins sex addicts group meets boy who is addicted to making naughty phone calls, they meet fall in love and accidently have sex at a crime scene of a muder that girls husband is investigating - oops!
