Chuckled all the way through
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 8 January 2015
The story is fun, in an odd sort of way. Mythological creatures in the modern world, ancient Greek god as swimming attendant in Norway, why not. But camcorders in ancient Crete, etc. I am all for fantasy, but for suspension of disbelief some things have to be explained (at least, according to the logic of the story.) The author doesn't bother to supply such logic, nor is this explicitly set in a world where a 21c scientist would discover the platypus. This is anoying, but not as much as the sudden disappearance of grammar punctuation prepositions correct vocabulary - he says "purveying" when he means "surveying" (in the sense of "seeing") and "media" when he means "medium". Also, attimesallthegapsbetween words disappear. And not for any reasons of plot. Needs proof reading and editing and the hero could suspend his suspension of disbelief: he never questions how King Minos could even have a camcorder. He is an expert in ancient myths that took place, apparently, within the last few decades. Definitey not 5 stars. What were the other reviewers thinking?

A delicious rollercoaster ride of laugh out loud madness and edge of the seat exitement written with a deep knowledge of Greek mythology with a modern slant. Even if the ancients are not your thing this is a brilliant read and a fantastic first outing for this author, more please!
