Like is the wrong word, the story is harrowing - but tightly and well written, compelling - couldn't put it down - certainly stretches the mind and takes you to areas you perhaps don't want to go - felt supported throughout by author, leaned a lot and would certainly buy other books by this author - so painful and yet heartwarming, not sure whether to laugh or cry at end....different, interesting....Squirrel 59 - Sat 4.4.15

One of the best Rosie Lewis books I've read and I think I've done them all now. Love keeping up with her personal life. This was so powerful and teaches us so much about cultures etc. Well done Rosie, absolutely brilliant.

I was shocked at the horrifying story of Zadie,....then at the end when the spoons set the alarm off it didn't ring true as she'd gone to school in ordinary clothes and certainly wouldn't of had her cloak in her school bag...you'll see what I mean when you read it...not wanting to spoil the end for you...
