Review

Nicky Charles has done it again. You never quite know what twists and turns will come next in the book. --J.D.V. (Just Judy's Jumbles) Nicky Charles has become one of my favourite authors and this is another example of why. Great storyline, awesome characters --L.A. (Goodreads) Awesome, best yet! You won't be able to put it down. --T.M. (Smashwords)

About the Author

Nicky Charles is an independent writer/publisher who became an author quite by accident. For many years she wrote as a hobby, seeing herself a 'reader not a writer'. Now a full-time author, she thanks-or blames, depending on the day-her friend/editor and fellow author, Jan Gordon, for the career she now finds herself immersed in. When she writes, Nicky sees the story unfolding in her head like a movie and tries to include enough detail so readers can 'see' the story just as she does. The sights, sounds, smells and sensations of a scene are almost as important to her as the actual plot. Nicky lives in Canada and tries to stick to Canadian spelling and punctuation in her work. She is an avid supporter of animal shelters, nature conservancy, food banks and a variety of other charities. Currently, she has three 'official' cats though a number of strays seem to take up residence in her garden each year. When not writing, Nicky enjoys reading - though she often bemoans that she seldom has time for it any more. She also enjoys spending time in nature, gardening, taking day trips and eating dark chocolate. You can contact Nicky Charles at her website: www.nickycharles.com

Jessica Stelluto has enjoyed creating art since she was a small child. That artistic passion continued to grow through adolescence where she discovered graphic design after high school. She decided to pursue it as a career and began her journey after achieving her degree in college. She began Jazer Designs, which started as a consolidation of work in a viewable and shareable online portfolio. It is now expanding into a growing business. She specializes in highly detailed line drawings, logos, book covers, flyers, photo editing, and so much more. When not designing, she enjoys spending time with her family, her dogs, and working on cars as well as attending car related events. This is a book that I would normally not read, not my usual cup of tea, but have to admit it was very well written, but I did find it a little hard to get into at the beginning, but it soon fell into place.

LOve the series, great characters, steamy interludes, intriguing politics, strong female characters, strong male characters! Makes me stay up far too late to finish the tale!

This book twice forced me to reassess my own opinions. I generally am discouraged when a series that has previously been based on a single paranormal species, such as werewolves, starts throwing in other species, such as fae. I've found it to usually indicate that the series is loosing focus, which is rarely a good thing. However, despite my dismal expectations it worked here. Charles managed to introduce a broader paranormal panorama without letting the series loose shape. Kudos. Secondly, I was seriously disappointed when I started reading the book and found that Damian wasn't the main character here. I really like his character and after the teaser at the end of The Keeping I was desperate to know what happens to him. However, having read this book I think it was the right choice not to jump right into his story. It would have felt like too soon, as if we too hadn't mourned Beth enough.

As always the writing was good, the book was well edited, and the sexual tension high. I look forward to following the rest of the Law of the Lycan series.

The Law of the Lycans, Bonded, Betrayed,The Mating, The Keeping and The Finding.
A wonderful series and beautifully written. thanks Nicky and Jan for the pleasure.
please bear in mind that although Nicky writes and gives us her work for free they are better than
alot of books you pay for, though saying that I would pay for these.
Bravo and roll on the next one.

Not suitable for teenagers. Surberb 2nd book a few characters from the first book flow into this book. Great fast pace storyline with lots of twists & turns. Reminds me of the Christine Fenhan Dark Prince series where you find out how a couple meet but the storyline flows through the series

I have just finished reading betrayed; Days of the Rogue (sequel to Bonded) and was recommended by my dear friend to read this as the second book, then The Mating, The Keeping and The Finding, as I know there is a bit of confusion as to which order to read them, especially as Betrayed references to 'the keeping' and 'the mating' in this book.

Wow this book is cleverly written and full of action packed suspense paranormal romance that will keep you guessing as to who's done it and who has the ulterior motives and in true Nicky style gives you the hot steamy scenes, which keep you hooked to this book.

I must admit it seemed like a long read and at 55 Chapters it took me a while to read through it, though it didn't deter me and the mystery, relationship innuendoes and steaminess in these pages were constant entertaining.

We meet Eve and Rafe in this story. Rafe is lycan and a quarter fae and Eve has no idea that lycans exist, though she is aware of Fae, being half fae herself, she is just learning how to cope with this new ability of picking up emotions from everyone around her and being attuned to nature.

Eve rents a cabin from the sexy Rafe for 6 months whilst she takes up her art for the gallery collection and book covers that she is commissioned to do and whilst there comes across a wolf stalking her cabin. Contacts Rafe; who comes across as grumpy and distant and unbeknown to Eve, Rafe is also a doctor for Rogue wolfs, so Rafe is eager to help Eve out and to know who is on his land.

Damien is in the area and has a fixation with Eve and seems to have an ulterior motive to being in the area.
