About this item
- Not Just Another Hero - Brink's advanced player customization offers a near-endless combination of looks for your character - allowing for the appearance of your character to be truly unique. As you progress through the game and acquire more experience, you'll have even more opportunities for customization
- Two Sides to Every Story - Choose to fight through the single player campaign as either a member of the Resistance or the Security and then take your same character online to play cooperatively or competitively against other players.
- Blurring the Lines - Take your unique character online at any time you choose! Brink allows you to seamlessly move between your single player campaign, co-op with friends, and intense multiplayer action. Multiplayer takes the story online where you can play with up to seven other people (or AI characters) cooperatively as you take on the opposing faction or with up to 16 players competitively.
- Play SMART - Brink uses the familiar shooter controls that you're used to, without frustrating, artificial constraints and adds a new feature: the SMART button. When you press the SMART button, the game dynamically evaluates where you're trying to get to, and makes it happen. Whether you're a seasoned FPS veteran or someone just getting started, you'll be able to make more intelligent decisions during the fast-paced action with SMART.
- Context-Sensitive Goals and Rewards - Objectives, communications, missions, and inventory selection are all dynamically generated based on your role, your condition, your location, your squad-mates, and the overall status of the battle in all gameplay modes. You'll always know exactly where to go, what to do when you get there, and what your reward will be for success.

- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 6 January 2013Platform: Xbox 360Verified PurchaseThe ratings for this game are very low, i dont know why but when i played it i thought it had a gripping storyline and great gameplay. It is a completely different game compared to other first hand shooting games. you can do so much more in this game like customize your character and your weapons also your abilities. if you want a different sought of game get this!!!
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 20 August 2012Platform: Xbox 360Verified PurchaseI ordered only two days ago already here fantastic servis. This is a replacement for my 16 year old son as the original became scratched and unplayable,(the disc not my son.) so I decided for the price( under £4.00 ) to buy another.I now have a happy teenage and no more earache.over to my son the gamer.I haven't played it for a while so I am looking forward to having another go.From what I can remember about the game its self - the graphic are pretty decent for what they are.
Story line is intriging but could invole the player a bit more.
The 'what if' missions are interesting to play.
The SMART movement system makes it easy to move around and over objects.
It can be a pain when your are trying to get to an mission objective and your team are either falling behind or going the opposite direction and your are left alone to fend for your self, even when one of the six laws of BRINK states 'stay close to your team mates a team of lone wolves will always lose.' I cannot emphasise how true this is!
It's annoying when you have to play the game all the way through and you still haven't unlocked all the faction costumes.
To sum up - a cheap game to pass the time waiting for the rain to stop and I can go outside.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 27 January 2015Platform: Xbox 360Verified PurchaseI must preface this review with a number of things. Firstly, I bought this game for less than £5 with Prime next day delivery. Secondly, I don't have Xbox Live Gold membership, so knew full-well I would not have access to the multiplayer.
The game is a bit "busy" all the time with a lot going on on-screen, whether in-game or the HUD. The single-player is just like a multiplayer game in that there are different mission types which involve different objectives. It can become very repetitive if you stick at it for a couple hours. The game mechanics are fine, although the weapons balancing does seem very arbitrary, with damage and accuracy dropping off at range very quickly.
The AI is questionable, and the games this is best likened to are probably Timesplitters 2 or BF1942. Given that this game is about 10 years newer, you'd expect the AI to be a bit better.
You are able to modify and customise your character a great deal with different body types and gear. However since I only played it with bots, it was pretty irrelevant, as no one else could see it! There are no female characters at all, which is very disappointing.
I would recommend this game only as a time waster. It is passable, but not for the story, character development or anything that makes a game truly memorable.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 18 August 2012Platform: Xbox 360Verified PurchaseThis game really does promise a lot, and from the trailers it looks really quite fantastic...
Unfortunately, it is actually more like a faux-multiplayer style set up, that doesn't give you much in the way of a story, nor does it really explain what to do or what is going on.
I am glad that the game only cost £5, I would have been very enraged had I paid the full launch price.
This game might be great for some, but if you're looking for a futuristic Deus Ex: Invisible War (old I know), or maybe BioShock; games with decisions and outcomes that change the story, this really isn't anything like that. You're presented with fractured, and seemingly incoherent levels, that don't seem to tie together. Plus objectives often come over as an after thought in the game.
Watch game play on YouTube first, not the glitzy trailer!
I'd recommend avoiding this game.

IkerReviewed in Spain on 19 May 20183.0 out of 5 stars El juego es decente, pero está solo en inglés.

AntiReviewed in France on 4 May 20133.0 out of 5 stars Jeux moyen

M.Reviewed in Germany on 28 April 20135.0 out of 5 stars Sehr spaßig!
