I love this reboot of Doom, it's refreshing given the seeming need of most games to have a complex storyline and backstory.

You are the doom guy, a guy with a big f-off shotgun. You don't have a complex relationship with your estranged father, a history of drug and drink problems or personal issues. The only issues you have are demons who want some. Oh you want to see my boom stick? You want some? Oh you want some too? BLAM.

There's no cut-scenes. Just big demon after big demon that needs to have his face peppered with shrapnel.

Everything about this game just blew me away. The graphics, the gore, the scenes, the gameplay! Wow, it's so intense and so thrilling, definitely the best doom game I've played. Admittedly it was lacking the old doom feel, but this new twist makes you forget that. The music, the fighting, the pure madness gets your heart racing and in the mood to crush the next demons skull! Testosterone, adrenaline fuelled carnage! Love it!

Wide field of view, turn off all the HUD, turn off background recording/capturing on your Xbox and it runs LIKE A DREAM

Or nightmare depending on your tastes ;)

I can’t praise this game enough. It’s so much fun and this is the best version (unless you’re a millionaire with a souped up PC rig)

An unexpected return to form. DOOM manages the impossible by attempting, and succeeding, in marrying the fast-paced gameplay and traits of the FPS games of yore with more modern conventions like player progression. DOOM is a frantic and fun game which all FPS fans need to try. It makes no excuses for its speed despite being played on a controller and it is all the better for it. The combat is slick and runs at a constant and buttery 60fps.

Even though the developers are not really into story what they've done with this game and the story is amazing, its a must for anyone who likes to kill demons or as practice for anyone who thinks they're going to hell one day.

This game looks outstanding, it's as good graphically as any 2019 game even though it was made in 2016.

Buy it, grab a chainsaw and scream at your TV with excitement as you wreck havoc on the lives of poor minions of the underworld.
