In spite of some bad reviews I bought this as I love the series. I was ready to give up after a few chapters but plowed through hoping something would happen to uplift the book. Nothing did. Its as if she has taken a story she wrote as a young teenager and adapted it to fit in with the Jokers Wrath series. No depth to the characters or the story and some pretty infantile emotions..

I have to be honest here and say, in my honest opinion, this is not up to Bella Jewel's usual standard.
Don't get me wrong, it was still an OK read, but I found it to be very repetitive, and I still don't know what Roman's job was that kept him away for days at a time.
I feel Bella's editor could've done a better job and pointed out all of the repetition and helped streamline it.
I also think that putting it under the Joker's Wrath MC label is a bit misleading as there is very little interaction with the club, it's more of a spin off if anything.
Bella Jewel is, and will remain, one of my most favourite authors, I will not hesitate to 1-Click any of her future releases (I've already read everything she has written so far). Out of all of Bella's books this is the only one that I feel is not quite up to scratch, and come on, we all have off days, times of great stress and pressure, and I'm sure she was trying to keep her fans happy releasing another book in this series, but it feels forced, not like she had a story floating around in her mind and just had to get it down, more like she felt pressured to release another book and pushed herself to come up with a story that just wasn't there. If this is the case, then I've got to say she did a fantastic job, it's just not up to her usual phenomenal standard.

It wasn't as good as the original joker's wrath MC but in some places I did find Molly and Roman funny just not memorable I really hope the next book in the series is better. ,

.First of all let me start by saying that Bella Jewel has always been a one click author for me. I have read almost every book of hers and have been so very impressed. Sure some I have liked better than others but I have never struggled to finish one of her books in the past.....until now.

The Jokers Wrath MC is one of my favourite series ever so to find out Bella was writing the next generation of the Jokers Wrath MC got me so excited and the anticipation and build up to the release was intense. I expected more of the same as the first four books. I expected sexual tension, an in depth plot, gritty characters, and very hot sex.....I was very much mistaken.

Bestie is the story of Molly the daughter of Maddox the president of the Jokers Wrath MC. I expected her to be gutsy and have some spunky personality, what I felt about her was she was very whiny and needy and not confident with not being the centre of attention. This may seem harsh but it was how I felt. The dialogue was extremely immature, it felt as though it was the diary of a fourteen year old. I just could not connect and I wanted to I truly did.

Roman the hero of the book was annoying to say the least. He was suffering from a break up and he just couldn't get over his ex. He couldn't see he was being used and to be fair he was doing the same thing to Molly really. His actions were bordering on pathetic at times as sad as that feels to say. I felt like he needed to grow a pair of balls, seriously. When I am used to reading Bellas hot sexy. extremely dominant males who know what they want and take it, this in contrast was just hard to read and I struggled having any connection to him. The fact that also we had only the heroines POV didn't help.

5 stars.

The kids of the Jokers Wrath are getting their stories now. This is Maddox's Daughter, Molly's story. The story was well written and held my attention the whole way through.

Molly has been royally dumped by her boyfriend, Michael. She is heartbroken. She bumps into Roman who she vaguely knows and they swap phone numbers. Both have recently broken relationships and are both in a bad state. They decide to become besties. Although we don't know their ages in this book I'm assuming they are mid twenties. Both are struggling with their ex's who have not quite given them closure.
They make great friends and tell hilarious stories that had me rolling around in embarrassment for them. You get a little bit of the other members of the MC and their kids too in this book. I loved the banter and joking that went on between these two.

The story is a good representation of a bad break up and the emotions that accompanied them. It is an enjoyable read. Rather steamy in places too. That Roman knows his moves.
There will be more stories about the others in the book too. I really look forward to finding out their stories too
