OK, I always get annoyed when you look at these books, trying to decide whether to buy them or not, but not helped by the fact that there is no song listing, so here it is.

Don't Talk to Strangers * Heaven and Hell * Holy Diver * King of Rock and Roll * The Last in Line * Man on the Silver Mountain * The Mob Rules * Neon Knights * Rainbow in the Dark * Sacred Heart * Stand U and Shout * We Rock.

Features photos and a foreword by Jack Black!

As you can see it is all early stuff, which for me is great, but I don't think you can sum this man up in just twelve songs.

Here are the classic songs singed by Ronnie Dio and played by the best guitarists of the genre.
Some of the best and famous riffs of Heavy Metal, with all guitar solos.
I wish I would have had a copy of this book 28 years ago, in 1982, when I started playing guitar.

I haven't been through the whole book yet but the songs I've looked at so far are:
"Man on the Silver Mountain" - solo isn't even the correct length and it doesn't look like much effort was put into transcribing it as it's not even remotely correct. The Rhythm part is ok though. "Holy Diver" - pretty good although I play the solo slightly differently. "We Rock" - haven't tried the solo yet but rhythm part looks ok apart from a small section at the end. It's nice that "Heaven & Hell" actually gives setting for your delay pedal during the solo.
This is a pretty expensive book and should be correct but it just isn't which is disappointing. I've had to resort to looking at tabs online and trying to work out by ear some sections. I haven't played through everything but the "Man on the Silver Mountain" solo is just a travesty....unbelievable. If your a huge Dio fan like I am then it's probably worth getting anyway as it's the only Dio book on the market.

I think this is excellent. I have been learning the songs with my son and we are both enjoying it. I hear some of the tab may not be perfect, but hey, the rest of the family recognise stuff when we play it. Result.
