Not many artists can boast a Best Of album by their 21st birthday, but then not everybody logs a Lolita-ish hit at age 13, as the precocious Leann Rimes did with the retro "Blue" in 1996. In many ways, that auspicious debut was her finest hour, full of hypnotic, yodel-laced magic and savant-like promise. Since then, she's recorded a fair amount of bankable pop ("One Way Ticket", "Can't Fight the Moonlight") and a seemingly bottomless well of tripe ("You Light Up My Life", "Written in the Stars" with Elton John). It all sits back-to-back on this collection of familiar tunes, braced with new audio recordings: "This Love" and "Last Thing on My Mind". Alas, of the new songs, they point up the weakness of much of Rimes' career; her connect-the-dots emotionality. Best advice: put the player on "repeat" and enjoy the royal "Blue" treat that got this career rolling, before the aerobicised videos and the embarrassing lawsuit. --Alanna Nash

This is just an amazing album, there are so many great tracks aswell as the duets with Ronan Keating and Elton John which are both great songs. Leann has acheived so much for a girl her age and it all shows in the album, I would say the best tracks are Life goes on, cant fight the moonlight, how do I live, and written in the stars (duet with Elton John) She also sings a brilliant version of Patsy Clines Crazy. I would say this is a must have for anyones CD collection!

I've always been a fan of LeAnn Rimes, and when I bought this album, it was everything I expected it to be! All her best hits are all contained on here, including Blue, Can't Fight The Moonlight, How Do I Live?, Commitment & her newest single with Ronan Keating, 'Last Ting On My Mind'. Well worth the money!

At 21 it seems to soon to release a best of album but LeAnn Rimes has been recording since age 13. You can't really tell that she was a young teenager when some of these songs were recorded, even then her voice could compete with the vocals of Christina Aguilera or Beyonce Knowles.
The first song on the album "Can't Fight The Moonlight" was a fantastic pop song from the "Coyote Ugly" soundtrack and a UK number one, the song has a great vibe and some brilliant vocals. The song was on LeAnn's first pop album "I Need You" with the title tracck featured on this album, it's a ballad displaying a strong talent. Also from the Coyote Ugly soundtrack are the brilliant "The Right Kind of Wrong" and "But I Do Love You" which you will love. The amazing ballad "How Do I Live" which was her biggest selling single ever and the best selling country single of all time, it sold 750 000 in the UK alone and reached number 7, the song is breathtaking and the vocals are just fantastic. New single "This Love" is wonderful and shows that LeAnn Rimes is still one of the most talented vocalists even today. The duet with Ronan Keaton is spoilt by Ronan, i'm not a fan of his singing but if you like his voice then you would like it because it is a good song. Elton John also duets with her on the ballad "Written in The Stars" which i love as it is a wonderful song and both artists put in strong vocal effort. The theme song to "Legally Blonde 2", "We Can" is fantastic, the song is incredibly catchy and vocally stunning, it's a strong competitor with "Can't Fight The Moonlight", two very brilliant songs.

We all know leann rimes for big hits such as 'how do i live' and 'cant find the moonlight' but apart from that her chart sucsess in the u.k has been quite minimal and when u listen to this album you will wonder why. we offen forget that this young lady is only 21 and has released all these records from the age of 15 aswel as having 3 billboard U.S #1 and 9 U.S #1's in the country chart she also outsells britney spears in the u.s and apart from artists such as Mariah Carey and Celine dion she pretty much outsells most female artists in the u.s aswel so what im basically saying is if you want a c.d you can listen to from start to finish by an artist with amazing talent who is totally under rated then please by this c.d and prepare to be amazed..

I treated myself to this album as it has all my favourite LeAnn Rimes, (so I have all my favourite songs on one CD instead of hunting through my collection). She has a great voice, and the songs on this album shows it off to a tee.:-)

i really only brought this cd because it had two songs on it that have a special meaning for me, over all though it is quite a good cd, there is a mixture of songs and styles which i like and i thought Ms Rimes version of Crazy was brilliant.

I only bought this for the one track How Do I, as I couldn't find it in MP3s. A few of tracks are ok but as I can't play ANY of them it's irrelevant. I've tried this cd on my Win 7 laptop, on my Win XP pc with CD player, on a seperate audio system and on my home cinema kit. All I hear is too fast skippy bits in the middle of cd. Not impressed and going straight back.

I agree with the first review in this series....I couldn't take this offmy hi-fi, or my personal cd player, it's one of the best albums I own. Itbrings together all her well known hits like Can't Fight the Moonlight andLife Goes On, along with less well known ones like Suddenly, which Iabsolutely love! There's some that I've never even heard of likeCommittment, This Love and We Can. The duet with Ronan Keating is classicLeann Rimes....which totally defines this album (d'uh given the title!)
