WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW
This book was just WOW.
This is L.P. Lovell's first book and I loved every minute of it.
Lilly has a fortress built around her to protect herself she can be cold and heartless
especially to men . I loved Lilly she comes across strong minded and strong willed.
But she is hiding some dark secrets. It's these secrets that make her the way she is
She is one lady not to be underestimated, she can play the game and probably better
than a man.
Theo Ellis is your typical millionaire play boy he don't date he uses and abuses
his lifestyle in some big ways. He can have anyone he wants just a smirk in the right direction and the ladies are falling at his feet.
That is until he meets Lilly.
Can a player play a player?
Have these two meet the match?
Ladies I loved this book. Considering its the authors first book she has written a brilliant story. I was warned it was of the sexual nature :-) but it has an incredible storyline, with the added factor of some steamy scenes :-). You ladies will fall in love with Theo, and you will love Lilly.
Also L.P. Lovell is a British Author woohoo.
It's out now and it is a must read.
The second book in this series Conquered is out September
Loved each of the characters but OMG Hugo .. that man is something else. I am looking forward to his story as I just want to see how is made to be the male lead with one woman and a HEA. How do you come back from that!
The story has some great steamy scenes, yet it's one of those books that doesn't rely on sex appeal - there's a clearly well-thought-out plot combined with dynamic characters that I am sure even the most critical readers out there could appreciate and respect. At the same time, if you're a big fan of vivid, hot scenes - Besieged doesn't fail in this department either; so it's essentially the 'best of both of worlds'. I would give the read a strong 9/10 and I will be looking out for more L.P. Lovell works very soon
Ok, firstly, I like the cover. It screams “bet on black, came up red” and I think that sets the tone for this book.
Millionaire man-whore Theo lived the typical playboy lifestyle. No girl was off limits. He ran his businesses hard but he played harder. Screw ‘em and move on to the next one was most definitely his motto. Theo and Hugo epitomised the “too much money too young” psyche. I couldn’t decide if I was more like Hugo or Theo lol (pre-marriage!) But I think I was probably more like Theo as I never had to pay for it ;-)
Enter flame haired, green eyed, legs-to-die for Lilly. Instant hard-ons for all the guys, particularly Theo. They came to a bit of an unconventional “relationship” that they both thought they could stick to.
What differs in this book to the other millionaire falls for sexy girl stories, is Lilly. Lilly wasn’t a virgin. She was as laddish in her attitude as Theo and Hugo. She was out for a good time and was no pushover or easy lay. Theo had to work really hard to get anywhere with her! It wasn’t the alpha male who ran, or had commitments issues, it was the alpha female! That made a refreshing change.
The banter between Theo and his mates, and Lilly and hers, was, at times, hilarious. I had to laugh at the twin incident with Hugo…yep that could happen. And that’s the thing about this book, everything that was depicted in this story was real. The way Theo and Hugo were voiced by the author was spot on how blokes talk. The added swears but also the whole tone of their conversations and the subject of their chats…well they were straight out of a man’s mouth!
I found the whole story to be totally captivating.Read more ›
