The trousers wash well (non bio recommended by Berghaus) and colour has stayed remarkably good.
The "cargo" capacity isn't as good as I've had previously, but for traveling fairly light and unencumbered by bags etc, they would be fine. The lightweight fabric does mean that the cargo pockets can end up a bit saggy if you overload them! (Good grief, I'm beginning to make them sound like an aircraft!)
So, not quite four-season clothing, but widely adaptable all the same. Time will tell whether the seams hold up to the amount of walking I do, most of my previous trousers have eventually chafed away leg-against-leg eventually leaving things a bit breezy around the trossachs (!).
Great relaxed fit but not too baggy.
Thin but not to thin, Tough and hard wearing, have a decent amount of wind resistance and dry out in no time at all.
When I'm not in work these are my go to legwear.
Luckily it has dual-button fastening - quickly proven to be more useful than tedious, if only by default - and a spare on the label that has survived the two week mark at least.
I gingerly assume this was a faulty button but could be proved wrong. However I paid £38.99 and they are listed at £32 at the time of writing.. Six pounds will buy a sturdy set of buttons for those who can sew, so I might even buy another pair.

Typical Berghaus quality. Bit too baggy though and I'm very chunky.Published 2 months ago by Amazon Customer
Uncomfortable and doesn't look good. Bought this on hope that photos would reflect the fit but I was mis-taken. It doesn't fit me well, and I did not like it. I gave it away.Published 3 months ago by Alexander C
