‘I think this book is very good. I liked the drawings. They were very colourful and fun to look at.’ Boy, aged 5
‘The story is fun. Ben is a brave dog and looks after the other animals. There is a good message there for the kids. The only problem was how the author kept putting ‘Soft bark’ before Ben talks, or ‘Bark’ or ‘Angry bark’ or ‘Ben bark’. It was very off-putting when reading to the children.’ Teacher, female
‘I liked the way there were two books in one.’ Girl, aged 5
‘This is a very colourful story book. The story is well thought out, easy to follow, and the dog is a fun character for the kids to follow. The odd sentence could do with cutting up; they were a bit too long and the ‘Growl – Bark!’ etc etc etc was annoying.’ Teacher, male
