I bought this rule set because it was only £8 and I had ordered a book I really wanted to cover postage.
I played DBM for years and found them good/appalling/argument causing/conflicting. Thought I would have a look at the "upgrade".
Should not have bothered. "Barkarese" language contunues. Whether they give a good game of not, I will not be finding out! The Marmite of wargames rules!

Verified Purchase

There is a version 2.0 of this rule set out. I haven't seen it, but it supposedly corrects some problems with this version, so you may want to look for it instead.

(OTOH, if like me you just want the descriptions needed for interpreting the separately published army lists, this will do just fine.)

As of this writing amazon.co.uk has the French edition of the new version 2.0, but not the English.

I rated it down because it's out of date. I do not know how well accepted these rules are in the wargaming community.
