First of all the size... It is about the sixe of the old Swan Vesta box of matches.
On one side is a single input USB (cable is supplied) and the power (5 volt) input (power supply provided). On this same side there are a set of six USB ports for your devices. They are quite closely mounted but, since there is one more port (in the middle of the upper side), you can still get in a device which is wider than most, such as some USB memory sticks.
However, this arrangement does have one slight problem. By the time you have six USB output cables, one USB input cable and the power supply all going into one side, the hob will just not lie flat on any surface. Since I wanted the hub to be in a fixed position, I have used double sided car number plate tape (a very thick version of double sided sticky tape) to semi-permanently mount the unit on a window still above my desktop machine.
In testing the hub, doing a backup to an external hard drive connected via the hub ran very fast without any issues.
Hopefully, this gives you more information than the very brief product description.
I do recommend this device.
That alone deserves a 1 star. I go through Amazon for the security alone let alone other reasons
