Arrived right on time with an ordered pair of bluetooth headphones (Philips SHB9100/00 Bluetooth Stereo Headset - Black/White) which works great with it.

I'm running Windows 7 64-bit, and once the driver disc was inserted it installed no problem.

There is a slight issue with Windows 7 Bluetooth drivers however. You may, as i needed to, perform the following steps in order to 'Add a Device' via bluetooth (otherwise no bluetooth devices can be found).

1: Click start and type "services.msc" in the search box
2: Run 'services.msc'
3: Scroll down the 'Names' until you find 'Bluetooth Support Service', right click this service and select 'Properties'
4: Set 'Startup type' to 'Automatic'
5: Click 'Ok'

This should let you add devices over bluetooth. Hope it saved you some time googling all the help sites.

The laptop I have is running Windows 7 Home, but has no bluetooth on-board so I bought a cheap £2 dongle from eBay - but that was fraught with danger - not supplied with drivers, and Windows automatic installation couldn't find any for it, either.

When I finally got drivers, and the thing working, the connections were all over the place - dropping out for no reason whatsoever.

This Belkin adapter answered those problems - not a single drop-out since installation - and installation is a doddle with the enclosed CD of software and drivers.

I am using this to connect to Logitech Wireless Speaker Adaptor for Bluetooth Audio Devices and also Philips SHB9100/00 Bluetooth Stereo Headset - Black/White - both work fine, no issues at all !

Works very well with linux (debian wheezy) but I needed to manually create a udev rule that will run two commands when the adapter is inserted/detected:

As root:
1) Create the file:
/etc/udev/rules.d/99-local-bluetooth.rules

2) Add the following line to the file:
SUBSYSTEM=="usb", ATTRS{idVendor}=="050d", ATTRS{idProduct}=="065a", RUN+="/bin/sh -c 'modprobe btusb; echo 050d 065a > /sys/bus/usb/drivers/btusb/new_id'"

3) To pick up the change
either
Restart the udev service:
/etc/init.d/udev restart
or
reboot

Having had my fingers burnt on previously buying cheaper USB BT4.0 dongles which failed to deliver on installation, I 'bit the bullet' and went upmarket and I'm so glad I did. The Belkin F8T065BF was a breeze to install on both a Windows 7 laptop and my venerable XP machine, and best of all it worked immediately on both! Bluetooth device discovery is fast and accurate, the connections to BT speakers and headphones are reliable, so all-in-all I am very pleased with this little gizmo. Not the cheapest but it works!!! So wish I'd by-passed the cheap and nasty alternatives in the first place, and bought a pair of the Belkin devices!

Purchased to connect my wireless headphones to my PC (Running latest version of Windows 10).
Small enough to not notice when plugged into a PC. Very easy to setup. When opening the packaging i didn't realize there was a CD in there so initially cut into the installation disc provided which rendered it useless. Thankfully this wasnt an issue as with windows 7 and newer Windows OS its plug in and play.
Quality of sound is as you would expect with bluetooth so no issues there.
For the price and ease of use i would recommend.

Worked fine and connected the first day. Will not detect any devices at all after that.

Belkin states that it should be plug and play (no additional drivers) for Windows 7 but this is not the case.

It wouldn't recognize it at all until I installed drivers from the site.

This product is nice and small, but the lack of drivers and support really lets this unit down.

The adapter is nice and small and sits nicely in the back of the laptop without sticking out too much, but when it comes to using it , the software support seems to be not there.

I have installed drivers recommended and ones from the belkin website, but after a reboot it always seems to forget the settings and I have to uninstall and try again. I don't have this issue with other usb devices and drivers so I can only assume it this product.

Purchased other cheap Bluetooth adapters, but I could never get them to pair with my BT headphones. This one works! Didn't work straight away after installation, but a prompt said that functionality would work after restart, and it did. Pairs straight away when I turn my headset on. Haven't tried all the headset functions (pause, next, back) yet, I'm just pleased my laptop now has working BT. Range is quite good too.
