Well made, one of the (all-too) few cables (on Amazon) that actually conforms to USB-C spec; using it to connect a LaCie Thunderbolt/USB-3 SDD to an Asus Desktop, I get full (drive) speed and it never misses a beat, what more can you ask.

This is a sturdy well made type C to A USB cable. I've had several bad experiences recently both on the internet and in brick and mortar stores, regarding finding a type C cable that meets the specs. Basically I'm having to bin around ÂŁ40 of junk cables and a cable adaptor.
( Read Benson the engineer's reviews of type C cables to get the situation)
I have a new Microsoft 950xl with a type C connector - and after the junk I've ended up with decided to go with a Belkin cable. It's obvious it's high quality.
Incidentally, I've paired this cable with a Belkin 12w, 2.4amp car charger ( after having risked the phone with a so called 3amp - but really 2.4 amp loosely fitting charger with an ' illegally' spec built in cable.
I've gone into detail to try to save others from my own expensive mistakes regarding buying our of spec cables recently. And yes, my time is more precious to me than the money lost so I won't be packaging the junk up for Internet returns.
Read engineer Benson Leung's reviews on our of spec type C cables. It's scandalous that with UK trading laws this stuff is on sale.

This is a good quality adaptor lead. It works. Nothing more to be said. If you need one of these types of adaptor lead, this is a good choice and I'd recommend this quality one over any of the cheaper ones you might see.

My wife has just ordered a Nexus 5x phone. I knew this had a USB type C connector but it was with a bit of horror that I realised this doesn't ship with a USB c to USB a cable. So no way to plug it directly to my laptop, nor to use with the many USB type A power socket adaptors I have (e.g. in the car). This is almost the cable I needed, it is belkin and so you know the quality will be good. Nicely boxed, and not a silly price. It takes a standard udb end (so has the female hole for the familiar USB end and then runs that to a male USB type C end. Ideally, I would have got one with the male USB end, but that is my fault not Belkins. With a standard 2 way USB cable from a drawer and this we were in Business.

There's been wayyyyy too much messing around with manufactures who should know better! Selling cr*p USB-A to C cables...
But Belkin has done it right first time, at a premium yes, but it's safe and well built and I would like to think it's worth the ÂŁ15 I spent on a USB cable...
If you want to be completely sure that you're getting the right USB cable though, this is the one for you. I've been using it overnight since November 2015 and it's held up perfectly so far :)

An extremely well constructed but rather short lead. The quality easy matches that of the Apple branded item with the same specification.

Limited as far as i am concerned to use with the new MacBook , but no doubt this configuration will be adopted on more units in the future.

If you’re the owner of a new MacBook this is an essential buy to enable older USB accessories to connect, at a slight cost advantage to the Apple variant.

This is a nice little connection lead, as long as you want it extremely short and pretty stiff. The connectors are solidly made and should last a long time.

This lead supports the USB 3.0 standard which runs at up to 5Gb/second. That's pretty good, but the newer USB 3.1 standard, which uses the same connectors, runs at up to 10Gb/second, so it might be worth considering a USB 3.1 lead for a level of future proofing.

A well constructed cable from Belkin, a well known supplier. The cable is short and rather stiff but is robust and unlikely to break.

It seems to work well although I currently I only have one device that requires it. However, USB-C is clearly going to become the new standard and I anticipate greater use in the future.

Recommended.
