Great... only minor gripes

This device is great. It takes some getting used to, and I warn you, your K/D will suffer while you do. Best come to terms with the Nostromo offline.
Comfortable fit, althought the "space button" is a bit beyond reach of my thumb. Not a problem, as I mapped the round button on top of the direction pad as the "jump" action which works well.
Another annoyance is the lack of number keys. Anyone who playes online will know of the imporance of being able to flick thorugh your arsenal. However, these I've mapped to the directional keys (up-1, right=2, and so on). This works well, and is actually helping now.

All in all... Good product. I bought it cos I was getting back ache from hovering my arm over my desk. This allows me to bring my elbow down to the arm rest and is a great addition to my desk.

Well a handy lil thing that was not listed is that you can turn the lighting on the keypad by using the switch underneath the pad. The the lighting is not in your face unless you would be positioned directly above it.
For women I have to say it is a lil big, I couldn't reach my fingers from the joystick to the 01 button on the far left. I have fairly normal size hands, long fingers but I still have a lil trouble. The keys are a lil stiff but I believe after some good game time they should get a lil softer.
The software is VERY easy to use! You can select any key on the entire gamepad and input the key you wish by just using the keyboard to show which one. Then you can save profiles for games, apply them and all done. You can even download other peoples profiles for what they use in their games.
From my use over the past few days I have to say this is a great piece of gear!

I bought this to play World of Warcraft. It is a very good product and well built and convenient however some of the buttons are quite hard to reach (even with big hands like mine) and felt like I had to look down at it for the lesser used buttons to make sure I hit the right one (which defeats the object!) and the design of the macro buttons & general layout could have been better but like anything new I suppose it will take time to get used to it - if you play with this regularly and take the time to get used to the positions I think it would be very useful. I am no longer using this as I have ordered a Razer Naga mouse as I prefer using a mouse with only a few keyboard bindings as I am a casual gamer and used to playing the way I have without having to change.

Great but occasionally kernel panics on Snow Leopard

This little pad is great. I use it for playing World of Warcraft on a Mac. The editor software is very nicely done and offers all the same macro functionality that you'll see in Windows. There is quite a large downside though - On Snow Leopard it will occasionally cause a kernel panic and completely lock up the Mac, which is basically the Mac version of the Windows Blue Screen of Death (BSoD). This has happened on 3 separate Macs while using this device and lock-ups like these are exceptionally rare on a Mac in general. I'd certainly never seen one before.

As there hasn't been any new drivers released in 2 years for Windows and 1 year for Mac, I'm not hopeful that this will be rectified, which is why I've ordered a Logitech G13 to replace it.

I bought this to alleviate aches in my hand when gaming - the last thing I need is RSI and I've found this a lot more comfortable in extended gaming sessions. The only negative is that the directional controller (which I assign to 1-8 for weapon selection) is a bit weak on the diagonal settings and sometimes doesn't select too well. If you only want to use the main directions it's fine however.)

I'm not sure this has improved my gaming, but it's made it a lot more comfortable.

Having recently purchased one of these I can see where the hype comes from as it is a very nice little piece of kit which would compliment any pc gamer irrelevent of type of game(FPS/MMO etc).

The one thing I will say is it may take a while to firstly map the keys in each game and also become acustomed to it.

Having now been using it for a month Im becoming more confident using it so thumbs up from me.

This gamepad is great. I use it on a very simply but functional level for World of Warcraft. The adjustment from standard keyboard to the game pad was a bit steep primarily due to muscle memory. Once the adjustment is made, however, it is considerably better. The physical positioning of the game pad is far superior and has saved my wrist a lot of strain. I have large hands so the spacing of the keys is slightly tight but moving the hand rest backward made a big difference. This is a must for any serious gamer who wants to be more efficient and have a greater number of buttons at their disposal quickly and easily.

It took me a few minutes to install on Windows 7. After configuring all the buttons I was up and running. As everything new it took me a few days to get use to but now I can't game without it. It feels amazing on my hand and all the buttons are exactly where I need them to be. I usually play shooters and N52TE gives you more than enough buttons. In fact I usually end up with a few of them unassigned. The only negative point I can think of is that the backlight switch is at the bottom which means you actually need to pick up your gamepad in order to turn it on or off.
