The adhesive pad is very strong and the actual button part sticks on magnetically, so you can remove it if you wish.
The mic is quite clear, about as good as any built-in kind in most cars.
This is quite good, but I'd recommend getting the Kinivo bluetooth one. It's more expensive than this, (less expensive than the belkin bluetooth one) but there's one less annoying cable and you don't have to remember to plug your phone in.
Also the double/triple tap for skip/previous track selection does not work on my phone (Nexus4 running lollipop) so a bit disappointing.
