Believe is the 2nd book in the Oni Fighters but could be read as standalone and just like Brave I couldn't put it down. Dane Roberts best friend of Xander Todd has become restless in his life even though he's surrounded by an amazing family, friends has a job that provides for him and not to forget his love of Martial Arts but he's finding himself wondering if he is good enough and what life has in store for him next.

Fate has a funny way of showing up and throwing people together its whilst Dane is going about his day to day business he comes across a young women and her son in a heavy exchange of words with another man, Dane cannot standby and do nothing so he walks up to them as though he's known them for a while and intervenes little does he know that his life is going to change.

Arianne is struggling to make ends meet and with supporting her son Isaac who has his own set of challenges she finds herself falling back into old patterns, plus on top of this her abusive ex-husband is back on the scene causing more trouble for her so when Dane enters her life unexpectedly she struggles to rationalize between him being and experienced mma fighter and someone who is violent.

I'm not going to give you anymore but please get your copy you wont be disappointed. This book will show you what love, family, friends and trust can bring to a relationship and leave you wanting more I for one cannot wait to read the next in this series.

While this is book 2 in the series, and I do highly recommend you read Brave first so you get the full effect, I don't think you would be lost if you accidentally read this one first. It does go over some of the stuff we saw in Brave as it runs along the same timeline, we just see it all from Dane's angle instead of Xander's.

Dane Roberts. He was always in the background. The back up guy. You needed him, he was there, no questions asked. But it always seemed to be about other people. Being the best friend of a champion MMA fighter was awesome, but he was just that. The best friend, the training partner, the amateur level competitor.

We really got a sense of what all this felt like to Dane. He never felt complete, not knowing if he could make it on his own merit. He wanted to fight his own big fight, just so he could know if he was good enough. I really liked Dane, he may have been a 6'2" macho man but we got the sense that he was really just a big softie with a heart of gold, the manners of a perfect gentleman and the um, equipment and expertise to be the best in the cage... and the bedroom.

Arianne. I really liked her. A single mum to a 9 year old boy with high functioning Asperger's, she was doing what she could to provide for him. It may not have been "good" what she was doing, and even she didn't like it, but as a mum myself I could totally understand her sense of doing whatever it takes. Fiercely independent, sometimes too much so; but her past was a huge factor in that, it was nice how Natalie wrote her as not a pushover, or someone who suddenly gave in to the changes someone wanted to make for her.

Drama. Action. Romance. Very HOT sexy times, will all be found in Believe. I loved it, and I am looking forward to reading book 3 which will be based on Seth.

I'll start my review by saying that although this is book #2 in the Oni Fighters series - and it does touch on book #1 - it's kind of written in the same timeframe. This means that if you haven't already read Brave (book #1) it's not a problem, as this could definitely be read as a standalone within the series. However, I really recommend you do read Brave first, so as not to spoil it, it is also a 5 star must read!

So onto Dane....
We first meet Dane in book #1 and I've got to be honest, I was definitely curious! There's clearly something going on but there are no clues as to what and quite frankly, all my guesses were so far off anyway.

He's a great character. The kind of guy to get your pulse racing....hot, huge, honourable, fantastic in bed and an all round stand up guy.

Arianne is scraping by...just. Looking for a quiet life, she's not prepared when she meets Dane. She's weary of all the things he surrounds himself with and if her past as taught her anything, it's that there's no such thing as "no strings attached".

I absolutely loved this story. Stubborn Ari is set in her ways but can Dane break through her barriers? Or are they destined to be on opposite side of the cage?

I highly recommend this thrilling 5 star read and if my opinion or advice counts for anything, it would be to read these two books in the correct order (although not a necessity).

Enjoy!

This is the second book in this series, the first being brave about Xander and Eden. This is about Dane and Ari and Issac. Firstly let me say, make sure you have plenty of time to read this book as when you start you won’t want to stop, and it is a long book. I loved how alpha Dane could be not just with Ari but with Issac and his feelings towards the little boy, he instantly knew there was something about both of them, not just Ari. It was really good to see a very accurate description of Asperger’s and all that comes with it, as a mother with a son with ASD it was great that even the little bits were described. also the frustration as a mother, I could really relate to Ari and the emotions and feelings when Issac wasn’t always being easy, or being persistent. I had a love/hate feeling over Leo and i got to a point i couldn’t stand Reeds attitude, but all was redeemed for both of these characters, Marcel had no hope so i won’t even go there. It was great seeing Eden and Xander, plus Seth and the others from Brave. Although i think Dane has my affection more than anyone of the other male characters. i can’t wait for Seth’s story. I would recommend this book, and would also say start with Brave as they are both amazing.
