Being Julia was a beautiful and touching read which kept me encased in the depth of Conner’s love for his daughter. The relationship Julia had with her parents Conner and Ellery was fun and exciting to read, having inherited her parent’s traits of beauty, attitude, stubbornness and a naughty side was bound to make her rebel against her overprotective father. Conner and Ellery’s parentage was certainly put to the test as their teenage daughter Julia grew up, living up to the Black family name making mistakes and causing her parents disappointment and heartache, but I loved how Conner and Ellery taught their daughter to learn from her mistakes, teamed up to encourage her strength in the face of heartache and hold her head up high. Colin and Julia’s relationship as siblings was heart- warming to read as they shared such a beautiful bond we hope to share with our own siblings. I loved how Julia and Jake met he was such a sweet guy and they were so perfect for one another. I loved catching up with Conner and Ellery in Being Julia, because they stole my heart from the beginning of the Forever Black series, and seeing their parentage and the spark that still ignites their love for one another was just a beautiful read!

Just finished Julia's story in the Forever trilogy.

Julia was a cute teenager, and just like all teenagers she wanted to defy her parents. When she was 16, the local bad boy who was a bit of a player got Julia to think he really fancied her!

SHe fell for him hook line and sinker, convinced he wanted her for her! until he finally gets her where he wants her; in bed! Uh OH, Connor - oh how i missed him! and Ellery walked in on her! oops

She learns a really tough lesson, then her best friend London, they are inseparable but London becomes distant, we don't know why! Until one evening Julia has to rescue London from a party in a bad way! unfortunately things dont work out well for London.

We move along until Julia graduates High School, and they go to the beach house in the summer after graduation, she then meets Jake, who sweeps her off her feet!

It was great to meet with Connor and Ellery again, with a glimpse of Mason too!

We dont often get to see what happens when the babies grow up! Its was refreshing!

A great addiction to the forever black series- this time focuses in on the life of Connor and Ellery's daughter Julie.

A beautiful story of growing up and finding all consuming love. What's also beautiful about this book is the unconditional bond between Connor and "his princess" Julia that is just an absolute pleasure to read.

A brilliant book with a perfect HEA- next in the series is Connor and Ellery's son Colin's story.

When I read Forever Black, I never once considered I would be reading. Being Julia.

I loved this book so much, we get more of Connor and Ellery, which I loved.

Being Julia started off with her still in high school. We get to see her having her first official crush. It's sweet, and we also get to see the mistakes young girls can make when a boy you think you love makes you swoon.

I have to admit I really enjoyed this book. Not as much as Forever Black, mainly because I loved Ellerys feisty behaviour in it, but more so because I don't think it should compete with the first book in the series that stole my heart.

We get another HEA in this book and I'm waiting on Collins book later in the year.

Loved this book. Perfect end to a perfect series. I fell in love with Connor Black all over again.

Julia's PoV starts in her teenage years where mistakes are made, hurtful words are said and the Father-Daughter relationship is tested. Julia grows and develops from a girl to a women, with glimpses of her Mothers, Ellery and her Fathers, Connor personalities shining through. I chuckled when Julia was out with Connor and went to confront a table of stares! Only to be congratulated by her Mother later on.

Julia's story, has love, heart ache, loss and friendship. Julia learns that no matter how much money her parents may have they can't prevent or protect from everything although it certainly does makes things easier.
