When it's time to make recording history, you need the best audio interface you can get, and you need one you can count on. That's why we're kicking it up a notch with our new U-PHORIA Series USBAudio Interfaces. With 4 unique models to choose from, the U-PHORIA Series has the ideal interface to make your recording experience legendary. MIDAS-Design Preamps - Renowned for their mastery of digital console design, our sister company MIDAS developed the world-class preamps for the UMC204, UMC202 and UMC22 interfaces-and thanks to the available +48 V phantom power, you can even use professional-grade studio condenser mics to create outstanding tracks. 96 kHz Precision - You take your tracks seriously, and the U-PHORIA Series respects that, providing your choice of 96 kHz resolution (UMC204/UMC202), or 48 kHz resolution converters (UMC22/UM2), depending on your application. Both sampling rates offer better than CD recording quality for professional results. Convenient Monitoring - bAll U-PHORIA models provide powerful phones output with Level control and Direct Monitor select, Status, Signal and Clip LEDs, and are powered via your computer's USB port so they're ready to go wherever you go. Plus we provide free audio recording, editing and podcasting software, plus 150 instrument / effect plug-ins-just a download away at behringer.com. Compose. Record. Mix. Share. - TRACKTION 4 puts the fun back into the creative process, so we're including it free of charge with select BEHRINGER products. This powerful, yet easy-to-use music production software is unlike anything you've seen before, putting everything you'll need on your desktop, on a single-screen - without the sea of drop down and hidden menus common to most other DAWs. And TRACKTION doesn't limit the number of tracks you can record, or the number of effects you can use. In fact, the only limitation is your Mac or PC computer's processing power.

On a technical note, I am a Linux user and was worried that this interface might not work, I have a Tascam which will only work for playback and not capture. But this Behringer worked perfectly. No messing around required, no drivers to install or anything. My short test had no problems with xruns or anything like that. Couldn't be happier with it right now.
Also, the product worked great for me when I figured that out, using it to record a mic and guitar. Fantastic for the price.
It also supplies the correct voltage for my microphone, and plugs in just over USB and works well with my USB Hub from UGREEN which allows me to not need a really long cable to plug into my PC or MacBook as the one included is a bit shorter than I'd like. Luckily it is a standard Mini-USB cable so you can always get the right one to fit the length you need. Speaker output is also a big plus.
However, I have not got the headphone output on this device to work yet. I specifically purchased a 6.35mm to 3.5mm jack adapter so that I could listen through my earbuds but don't hear the inputs from the device and if I select the UMC22 as the output device in Windows, the output is quiet and tinny. I'm going to say that this is on my part for not having 6.35mm headphones though, and didn't use the feature when setting the device up for the album I was working with someone on.
I spied a good deal @£28 inc del and so I jumped. Primarily I have used it with with Guitar Rig4 Pro under W7 but the ASIO4ALL are shocking drivers and I spent more time fussing around with these than getting any use out of it. On my laptop, any power change or disconnecting/reconnecting from the AC to battery makes them fall over and then there is a constant struggle to untangle the ASIO4ALL drivers from always hooking up to the laptop soundcard in addition to the UMC22 itself - total nightmare!
So I Googled and found other similar complaints and a few guys using an old Driver for other similar Behringer kit and so I have used that too. This is more stable and can be got somewhere online but Amazon won't let me tell you where!
64bit and 32bit options exist... somewhere!
I see the price has increased now, so I am happy with the unit for the price I paid.
Crystal clear mic recording into FL Studio.
My bass has an irritating buzz...a grounding issue which disappears when I tough the strings....or any metal on my pc....but this is clearly not the fault of the interface.

I write this review having bought and tried a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 alongside the Behringer, and it was so much better. 2 stars because it may still perform well for other purposes.
