Purchased this product to ease the sound source control for a few devices (Akai Synthstation 25, iPhone, iPad and Macbook) and have some digital output for doing some sound/music for multimedia projects. The Behringer 302USB does the job nicely and is impressive for such a relatively low priced product. Supply was efficient and arrived timely. If you have only a few devices then this is a very good solution for a budget desktop recording solution.

Have two of these now, perfect as a duplex USB audio interface to the computer for line and mic signals with EQ and routing. Have just used this to host a multi person Webex meeting with video and feed the audio from radio microphones ito/from the conference via USB whilst having them into the main room PA too. For the money it's one of those little gems you cannot afford to be without when doing niche audio & video projects. Audio quality wise I have just dumped a rather more expensive interface for being too noisy when recording from the microphone, this unit beats it hands down. Forget the Behringer=cheap and nasty label, the guys have upped their game of late and this product is a symbol of their staggering quality at a decent price point.

First impressions as for April 15 2015. Amazingly good quality for the price. Fast delivery from Amazon. Technical advices. Yes it works with my 2 years old Asus Win 8.1 64 bit laptop. Yes you can record and play simultaneously. The Windows duplex driver seems more stable than the ASIO4ALL.. Phantom power stated at 15V. Quality good for the price. Noise levels quite high when recording via mic. Headphone room not too good. It overdrives my Beyerdynamic 770 80 ohms very easily while volumes stay low. My former Sound Blaster was way better as external sound card. Will decide later to keep it or return it. Not overwhelmed by it. Will conduct more recording and come back with impressions. Software used Cubase and Soundforge.

I have had the Behringer 302 USB Xenyx 5 Input Mixer for 2 years now, And i had initially got the product in-order to use with my Audio Technica AT2020 XLR version, And i thought this would be a great mixer to be able to handle my AT2020 XLR microphone, Now take into consideration my Audio Technica requires Powered Phantom Power and i thought to myself "This is only USB? can it really give full phantom power?" But it reassured me so i went ahead and purchased the product, However for the past 2 years all i have had is really-really bad static due to the phantom-power not giving enough power and also every single noise through the USB cable is being put straight into the mic, I also do not put my audio through the mixer cause all the EQ'ing is all off-balanced and also again the noise from the USB cable goes into the outputs to your headphones aswell so it sounds absolutely terrible.

Conclusion: If you are here for a small compact mixer that can power your phantom microphones without noise STAY AWAY from this mixer as all it does is cause noise and will not be suited for that purpose.

This is a reasonably priced mixer that does quite a lot in a small box. It poweres XLR Condenser Microphones (Yes, it supports phantom power) it also provides sound to and from USB, from 1.4 jack cables, phono leads and headsets / 3.5mm jack microphones.

I have used it for condenser microphones and connection to guitars and it has worked perfectly. It can be powered over USB either from a PC USB Port (which provides you with USB sound functionality) or from the wall with a USB charger.

It is well built and sturdy. It has some weight behind it which means it does not easily slip from surfaces. For someone with Basic audio needs, or recording facilities with space restrictions, then this is the mixer for you.

Fantastic little mixer, has served me well for 4 years until I derped out and spilt coke on it. (The liquid coke, not the Pitbull kind.) Hence, I'm buying another one. I haven't even bothered to look for any alternatives becomes the Xenyx 302 out- performs its price tag fluently. Perfect for casual music production.

I needed a small mixer to sit between my microphone and laptop to record a radio show I present. The problem with plugging in directly to laptop is the lag you get between vocals and audio and it makes it impossible to listen via headphones whilst recording at the same time.

What needed was something to sit in between so I can hear what's coming out pf the laptop and record mu speech without the lag.

Well, this box does exactly what I need, so 5 stars. And it won't break the bank, unlike some of these PC interfaces, which do exactl the same but cost a fortune because they are from an expensive make.

Minor issue is that is doesn't provide the full 48v Phantom Power so you have a microphone which requires it, you either have to have an intermediate power source for it or one that runs on batteries. As I already have all the necessary equipment, not a problem.

The unit itself run either off the mains or off firewire plugged into a USB port. Considering how small the unit is, there are numerous ways to configure the sound and I haven't worked most of them out yet.

Highly recommended for a one mad recording studio where you only need one microphone source.
Alternitavley you canuse something like an SM58 which doesn't require phantom power, so no problem.
