Volume 2 is over and we have the rather unexpected answers to the questions posed throughout Volumes 1 & 2. Mark's secrets have been revealed and Saturday has realised that the people around her aren't who she expected them to be. So why do I still feel like I am missing something? The question I asked at the start of my Volume 1 review is the one I am still unclear about. Why is Saturday also known as Daisy and why does Mark know to call her that?

The mystery element of this story made me keep turning the pages and the writing was stronger than in Volume 1 but the plot was still a little loose. It was certainly a good attempt at suspense and the ideas were certainly captivating but for me, whilst we got our HEA, the story needs either simplifying or mapping out more clearly. The story was enjoyable though but I am still a little unsure why it was necessary to include some of the characters, eg David, Francois, and even possibly Christiano and Axe, without developing their roles in more depth. Personally, I feel this serial could have benefitted from being longer to afford the storyline the time to develop into a classic romantic suspense.

All in all, this book duo is certainly one to read and enjoy as it meanders towards an unexpected climax.

Title: Behind the Blindfold: Uncovered
Author: Natalie E. Wrye
Series: Behind the Blindfold #2
Genre: romantic suspense
Rating: ***

This second and final instalment of the Behind the Blindfold duet starts off a short while after the end of its predecessor. I have to say that I had my guesses as to what would happen, and I was only partially correct, with a very well-executed plot twist. I've found, overall, that the plot of these two novels is excellent, highly interesting stuff. It's just let down by the one-dimensional characters and dubious choices.

I mean, I became incredibly irritated by Saturday's on-off feelings towards Mark, which was pretty repetitive. And I really didn't agree with her letting him back in after the way he acted. I didn't particularly like him and their insta-love was a little too much for me. There were also too many bad guys and strands to the plot, so it became overly dramatic.

But, overall, saved by its intriguing plot.

Behind the Blindfold - Uncovered - Natalie E Wrye 4.5 Stars

This is the second book in the two part series.

Without giving too much away, Saturday is now trying to move on from Mark after not getting any answers, but even after dating Axe she still can't seem to get Mark out of her system. Nothing and no-one really fits except Mark. Can they work through this together ?

This is a fairly short conclusion to the two part series and it didn't disappoint, this book was just as good as the first. This book has so many unexpected twists and turns and a totally unexpected and exciting one towards the end.

Personally I would have liked this series to be just one book, rather than two and maybe an epilogue, however this doesn't in anyway distract from how good the books are and how much I really enjoyed them.
