Who is Saturday Blake?

That's the question that ran through my mind continually during volume one of this story. An artist/waitress, she has her pick of men but it's when she falls into the depths of Mark Rich's green eyes that Saturday knows exactly which man she wants and needs. Mark is an enigma though as he again and again answers Saturday's questions with vague responses and even by the end of volume 1 we still have no idea what this man does and why he continually disappears.

After what appeared to be a chance encounter, Saturday is swept away by Mark's personality and looks and despite not knowing much about him she quickly falls in love. Saturday soon comes to realise that Mark is too evasive to be around and with his unorthodox behaviour she realises that she's better off without him, or is she?

This story seemed unnecessarily complicated at times and without just cause. We were introduced to many men both strangers and acquaintances of Saturday's but without enough insight into who they are for their inclusion to seem necessary, at the moment, but I guess this could all change in Volume 2. We also still have no idea why Mark and Saturday's friend, Kara, call her Daisy but again this may all be revealed in time.

This was a steady start to the story but one which leaves more questions unanswered than answered. The writing lacked some fluidity at times and the story lost some of its focus on occasion. The story's strength though is in its anticipation and the way it makes you wonder what's coming next and I guess that's why I'm heading straight into Volume 2.

This story does end on a cliffie but Volume 2 is already available.

Mystery, intrigue and a steamy relationship this book has it all!

First off lets talk about Saturday, she's an artistic girl trying to make her way in the world when she keeps seeing him.....

Mark, his mysterious, sexy and frustrating at times too, especially when he does his disappearing antics but you can't help but want these two to get it together.

More about Mark, his vague when questioned about his job, he gets lots of calls and have I mentioned his green eyes yet! Mark is smooth too and romances Saturday and she soon falls for him as he has for her.

If life was kind and easy that would be the end of it and they'd live happily ever after, but Mark has secrets and they have a habit of coming out.

I found the writing in this book extremely easy to read and really didn't want to put my kindle down, I also started volume 2 straight after finishing the first book, but this is about volume 1.

Make sure you have volume 2 locked and loaded on your kindle as you'll be wanting to know more straight away.

This was my first read from Natalie and it won't be last I really enjoyed her writing style and pace of her story, she also created an amazing hot guy.

I was gifted a copy for an honest review.

Wow! This book grabbed a hold and didn't let go, even after the cliffhanger at the end, I was just thinking towards grabbing the next book to find out what happens.

I love reading new authors and Natalie Wrye will now be added to my list of must read authors. I am sucker for mysterious, dark romances. Saturday is an artist that is working two jobs, one as a bartender and one as a tour guide at an art museum. She has a chance encounter with a handsome man at the market and then suddenly he seems to be everywhere.

"Life is both. Love is both. Everything. Passion. Pain. You should embrace them, Saturday. They are honesty. They are truth. They are all that really matter."

Mark is handsome and mysterious. He won't answer Saturday's questions about what he does for a living, other than to say "everything." He disappears for days, takes shady phone calls when they are together, and is evasive to her questions.

Saturday falls hard for Mark, but who is he really?

Great short read with plenty of page turning mystery. Nothing is ever as it seems.

Behind the Blindfold - Natalie E Wrye 4.5 Stars

Saturday (yes that's her name) is totally into art and works hard to stay in the 'art world' she loves. When she meets Mark her world is tilted and around the passion she struggles to understand him. Mark is very hot but a bit illusive, strange, mysterious and a little confusing. Mark is definitely hiding something but does Saturday really want to find out ? will this work out for them ?

This book wasn't at all like I expected it to be. I really felt connected with Saturday and could relate to her thoughts and emotions.

I really enjoyed this book, so much I couldn't put it down and ended up reading it in one session. It kept me captivated and ....whoa! what a cliffhanger. Now I can't wait to read book 2 and I'm so hoping it ties up all loose ends.

HOLY CR*P what a cliff hanger! I struggled at first to get into this as its not written from the 1st person and I am so used to reading like that. However, once I got past that, I really enjoyed it. Saturday is a complete innocent which I loved at first but then it got a tad annoying because she seemed too innocent. Mark is a complete mystery which I found a bit creepy at first but then I was intrigued to know who Mark really is. I loved the plot and think this is a great debut novel for a new author. 4 stars
