My main criticism (or my only one) would be the art. This book changes artist from that in the first, and it only shows on a subtle level. Browne has done a good job attempting to stay true to the original style left by Rossmo, but sometimes it shows negatively-it can be hard to distinguish faces and scenery, but luckily the writing of the characters make them unique enough to tell apart, and this isn't a book that goes overboard with ahundred different characters.
The plot revolves around our protagonist AND Antagonist(Yes you heard right, he is one and the same!) - Madder Red.
A man once known for his maddening murdering in atrocious and malicious ways, now turned into the only hope and possible hero of this city?
The seamless move from the background and past of Madder Red, into the present and forceful situation which our protagonist finds himself in, is clever and well-balanced.
This series is action packed and well-written with insane artwork throughout! The Madder Red even carries a resemblance to the madness equal of Gotham's Prince of Darkness; The Joker himself!
If you're into typical crime action, gritty, dark writing or into comic book villains - this won't disappoint.
gieff madness :)
